If you've been following the threads/pictures, 4chan has isolated a lot of possible suspects. I can't say how I know this, but I do know that some authorities have been reviewing these pictures and analysis alongside their own investigations. So it was not out of the realm of possibility that 4chan could have been a help. But as usual, they went full retard. (A term which I really hate, by the way. But I don't know a better way to say it.)

This is such a damn shame. (And another link here.)The NY Post put this 17 year old's picture on their cover with a headline heavily implying that he and another person pictured with him were wanted by the FBI for the bombing. Then the NY Post admits they aren't sure if it is really these two guys who are being sought. Idiots.

They circled basically anyone holding a bag. This is like playing "Pick a number between 1 and 10," 4chan guessing nine numbers, and when one of those numbers turns up, going "WE TOTALLY CALLED IT."

IF ONLY WE COULD ZOOM INTO A REFLECTING SURFACE AND GET A PERFECT HD QUALITY IMAGE OF THEIR FACE LIKE ON ALL THE TV SHOWS THEN RUN IT THROUGH A DATABASE THAT JUST HAPPENS TO HAVE EVERYONE'S FACE IN IT ALONG WITH ENOUGH INFORMATION TO CAPTURE THEM.

Apparently the two are Russian brothers - which throws everything off kilter. Not middle-eastern like some thought, not home-grown white terrorist like some thought (& some apparently hoped it would be). I hope suspect #2 gets caught and not killed. I really hope we find out what their twisted reasoning is.

And I'm listening to a Boston PD feed, they are in a foot chase with the guy, they are getting him trapped and are being very careful as he's probably wearing a suicide vest. Facebook page for the guy updated mobile says "Time to die. I didn't want this. I was forced into it." I'm not linking because it's too damned easy to fake and the chances of it real are kinda small...even though the account was set up in 2010.[DOUBLEPOST=1366375209][/DOUBLEPOST]They are going to tactical comm which means they are probably switching to a different channel that is inaccessible from a scanner. Damn!

Chechnya is a part of Russia that wants to be its own nation. They have a long history of terrorism inside Russia. Russia has a long history of carpet bombing the area in retaliation.
Since these guys were basically raised in America, I'll go out on a limb and say that they are more a part of International Jihadist, than Chechen Rebels making a point.
