And a trade for Bolland which isn't too shabby. Definitely sending a message to Bozak with that one.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic. Personally I'm pretty happy with it. It's not like our draft picks were early. The only one that stings a little is the 2nd rounder, and I mean, you gotta give up something. Seemed a reasonable trade to me.

And is it wrong of me to have so much schadenfreude over how Seth Jones got drafted 4th? Not about Jones, but about how butt hurt all the "experts" and "hockey insiders" and "analysts" are getting over it.

Guys, if the NHL teams listened to you, you would be on their payroll.

Makes sense. Just pop seattle into the division with all the california and western canadian teams. KC can play with the preds and their division.

I'm confused by Nonis. I'm fine with Clarkson, but 7 years? and at pretty much the same price per year as Grabbo? what was the point of all that? sad to see Macarthur go too. re-signing Bozak.... enh. still not sure about that one. at least it wasn't the ridiculous price he qas asking but I still feel like this is more than he should be getting. do like having him though. Overall I think our roster is improved with Bolland, Clarkson and keeping Bozak, I guess.

Ryan helps, and if Spezza's healthy I wouldn't be surprised to see him score 40 next year. That said, Alfie's been the captain for literally as long as I can remember, so even with a replacement on the team, it still sucks.

That's why I insist my USA hockey jersey is for Ryan's dad.

Geraldine Heaney, Scott Niedermayer, Chris Chelios, Brendan Shanahan and Fred Shero have been elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Good class, thought Burns might get in this year, but no rush I guess for posthumous awards.
