I recently decided to check out Penny-Arcade again, and started reading backwards from the most recent. I don't know what happened, but man, I hate the art. Hate it. I used to love Gabe's art, I know he's a talented artist, but whatever style he's drifted into over the years just rubs me the wrong way.
I also hated the writing for most of the comics I read, too, so maybe I just don't like Penny-Arcade anymore.
So it's not just me that thinks one day Gabe just went utterly insane and was like "Fuck this, my art is now officially SQUIGGLY INSANITY. I don't want to draw it unless their skulls and faces contour like the devil possessed them"
Yeah his art has been just awful looking for the last two years at least, which is a shame. He used to do such beautiful work.
I dropped in the other day, and the writing and art reminded me of why I stopped reading it.

Just going off what I saw in the Clueless Gamer segment for Overwatch (Conan O'Brien playing with Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey), I have one thing to say about the game:

I was one of two people that did the rips for the sfm community. We had that shit pulled out months ago.
As for the takedown notices, blame Blizzard having a freak out over a GAWKER (kotaku) article making the porn out like a landslide right around release day. Blizzard is terrified of general audience backlash if they don't act like they disapprove of all the pornography, and GAWKER is notorious for starting shit. It will die down once the article vanishes from general conciousness and Blizzard can just ignore it again.

Overwatch is killing it with over 7 million players.

They actually have an brawl mode that is nothing but McCree called High Noon. I think that its even the one that cycles after Super Shimada Bros.
Also, 7 million sales. Even if we average out $50 per person (since some got it for $40 and some $60) that is $350 million dollars. That isn't even counting the loot box shop. I think Blizzard can chalk this up as a success, and it's only the first week.

Yeah I was looking at the various Brawl modes and some of them sound pretty fun.
I'm not super keen on this week's, as Genji is a rough fight as Hanzo thanks to huge mobility and attack speed differences.

As Hanzo you really just have to spam Scattered Shot as much as possible while defended by some Genjis, but ya if one side picked all Hanzo and the other side all Genji the Genji team would likely win pretty handily.
