The new map (that's up right now) is called Dropper. The focus of the game is to not die falling from a huge height. Go through all the levels and try and get the lowest number of fails. Some are easy...some are not.

Well, today was fun.
1.9.1 update.
...followed by 1.9.2 update about 100 minutes later.
EDIT: Seriously, I had just finished updating my server, backing it up, archiving the old version, generating a map, adjusting my startup scripts, and then I went to log back in again and it was all, "Nope! Go get the update!" "But I just did!" "Welp go get the new new one."

Watching ThinkNoodles, ThnxCya, and DanTDM playing Crazy Craft 3.0 together, it kind of makes me want to play the mod myself. I'm not sure, though. Some parts of that mod would drive me nuts, and I'm not sure I want to be sucked into Minecraft right now.

Also, not to get anyone's hopes up, but X has started another X's Adventures in Minecraft series, for 1.9

I want an s7 so bad...but I can't afford one. Or pass the credit check.

edit: Apparently the video I posted has a NSFW preview. Sorry.

Aw, man. I miss X's adventures in MC.
He's up to episode 5 of "Chapter 2" (I think he should have gone with Book 2), and I'm enjoying it. Though I kind of want to see X react to Crazy Craft.

Speaking of which, I tried running Crazy Craft but it made my computer cry. It needs a lot more processing power than my Core 2 Duo can throw at it.

I haven't been playing Minecraft, but I have been watching videos (especially with snapshots for 1.10 coming out).

Found this old tip that I wasn't aware of. Previously I'd been using full blocks and ladders for getting over fences while keeping mobs in/out, but it turns out carpet is a better choice:

Another technique I've seen, that I was previously unaware of, is "water climbing". You can ascend a sheer cliff by using a water bucket. Place the water above you, swim up, and then quickly pick up the source block of water, then place it higher on the wall, then swim up and repeat.

Can do this with lava, too, IF you're prepared.

Boats, how do they work?

Now I'm just waiting for someone to use this to create a graphing calculator within Minecraft.

I was just going to post about that. I'll be updating as soon as I can. I don't think there are any major changes that would make us wait.

Fascinating. And how does that make YOU feel? There's... additional factors that have come about after your building of that.
Well, mostly I'm impressed just by how much the story got legs. As for the later developments, it was still quite the coping mechanism at the time, and I wouldn't undo that.

Fair enough. And yes, the "legs" it keeps getting is something else. Does the YouTube video of it still get views?

46 in the last 4 weeks, despite me changing it to unlisted in the second half of 2014. So, it's still being linked from elsewhere and watched, despite not showing up in a youtube video search or being listed on my channel.

It's still excerpted in the channel sampler, so perhaps that contributes.

Minecon starts tomorrow, which means it won't be long until we know what the big additions to the next version of Minecraft will be.

In the meantime:

Those are pretty wild, but I will not be playing any of those insane world types.

Hmm. I've never messed around with these. Maybe I should. it might get me interested in Minecraft again.
