I just got this game. Its pretty awesome. I got to play with shego, chibi and pez for a bit although I think my newbishness slightly borked up thier buzz. I also got tf2. So I'll be seeing more of you all in valve's personal matrix.

Man, I am so use to playing VS, I am getting pretty bad on campaign play :( need to practice more. On the bright side, I'm a mean infected hehe.

Strangest finale I've ever played. At the ending of Swamp Fever, at the plantation house with Shego, Chibi and Jay, when the finale short circuited or something. Called the boat, and it came, no waiting. Hordes, tank and the wall comes down, right at the start. Two of us made it through our surprise to get on board.

Oh wow, that was you first game? You realize you joined an Advanced difficulty match right? I mean, glad to have you, but that was impressive for a first time. You're welcome anytime I'm on.

Nah I played a bit on the demo, and I was also playing a bit before I joined, but I feel like I perhaps should of gained a bit more experience before diving in like that. In games like this I generally prefer harder difficulties, but I don't mind losing all that much.

Also: Do we have a new steam community group? I'm still a part of the old one.

Yeah, we certainly can use people who can play the finer points of the game.

For me, doing Dead Center on expert 6 times in a row and never getting it done pretty much sucks a dick at this point. The FFs, lack of backup, the inability to immediately break SI's grabs as well as shooting gas cans is giving me glorious tears.

:mmph:

Yeah, I'm not good enough to be playing on Expert. Sorry. I'm not sure if I'll try again. The stress is not good for my health anyway.

On Expert, the only one I came close to finishing is with a group back on L4D1. (Easier IMO compare to L4D2) It is total team work with very little mistake. I'm more careful when it comes to higher difficulty. (hence slower)

*sigh* Disconnected right as the group was piling into the car. I wish I could have gotten back into the game just so I could ragequit.

Well, at least I'm getting closer to being able to do expert competently. Didn't take any zombie damage before the tank spawned on any of the finale attempts.

I had to leave pretty early on in our Expert Run of Dead Center, but we weren't doing too hot ether. We DID seem like we were doing better each run though, especially against the SI and Tanks. It's just the Common Infected kicking our asses, as we couldn't get a god damn Magnum spawn.

At least we made it through to the end of Dark Carnivale on Expert. That rolling crescendo is going to be damn near impossible on expert unless we can bring a full set of pipes/bile with us.

Jay, Pez, Chibi and I had a succesful Expert Dead Center run earlier. Well... two of us managed to get away at the end there.

Well I can't get Deadbeforedawn to play in L4D2. *sigh*

Worked fine in L4D1 though.
It looks like Valve fucked shit up, because while the game will RUN L4D1 mod maps, it doesn't have the god damn textures for them. I think we're just going to have to wait for mod makers to convert the mods to L4D2 before we even try anything.

And I'd probably stay away from Dead Before Dawn for the moment, as the Finale hasn't been released yet. It's fun to play up to the end of the food court (get your own god damn beer asshole) but it feels... wrong without the finale. It's also got a lot of bugs still.

If your going to try any maps, I'd do Death Aboard and Night Terror. The Silent Hill map is interesting too, if you want a change-up in game play style.

Alright, just got done doing Death Aboard with Shego. Aside from the fact that I had to host it locally (and hence it ran craptacular) we had a lot of fun. Some notes for anyone who tries to play it with Left 4 Dead 2.

- The only weapons what will spawn are Uzis, Tactical Shotguns, Pump Action Shotguns, M16s, Hunting Rifles, Pistols, and Bats (if you pre-ordered and only in the spawn room).
- Boomer Bile won't spawn, but Mollys and Pipes will.
- Adrenaline won't spawn, but Defibs will OCCASIONALLY spawn in the red first aid boxes.
- Uncommon Common Infected do not spawn (which is a shame, as part of the level is in a prison and the riot cops would have been awesome.) All Special Infected will.
- You may have problems with being able to walk through wire fences. If this happens, you are going to need to host locally, as you can't finish map two without walking on one.
- In map three, once you go through the sewers, you'll reach a dead end wall with a big flashing error sign. It's supposed to be a ladder, but the textures aren't in the game. Don't worry though... the ladder IS still there, it's just invisible. Climb up and keep going.

Other than those things, it works fine, except for some texture errors.

Haven't had that much fun in a while Ash! We were discussing how amazing the campaigns made just for L4D2 will be or at least the L4D1 campaigns fully fleshed for L4D2.

All in all, fun was had.

yea. Of course it doesn't help that my servers decide to crash today... bleh. And they are doing so well too (I was hoping it would be a workless week)

I hate my internet connection being flaky. I've been getting intermittent connection dropouts and lag spikes. It makes for some weird gaming. At one point I had the surreal experience of seeing two zombies furiously attacking thin air, only to warp locations and realize they'd been attacking me the whole time.

I think any more online multiplayer gaming is going to have to wait until my internet connection gets better.

Got the game a couple days ago, and frustrated with a lot of the people on XBox Live. The game itself is awesome, but it pisses me off when a Hunter/Jockey jumps on me, and I'll nearly bleed out before they even bother noticing...even worse the other day when we were trying the finale in Swamp Fever for the third time, and then the guy playing Coach decided to just chainsaw all of us rather than try again.

Finally beat the finale today, but three tanks spawned in a row. We got the first two, the third snuck up behind me and killed me while I was limping towards the boat.

Hmmm...mighta missed this, but is there a group for Halforumites who play on the 360? I've finally gotten fed up with a lot of the people on XBL and would like to play with some of the guys and gals from here.

My name is "IOnceWasLegend" on XBL; hope I see you on there.

The thing is that, if you have the game on public (which you might if you need more people) we had one random guy pop in, incap all of us and log out (griefers) but since we were near the health pack station, we just heal up (but a little pissed since it was on expert) you will meet a lot of people like that who just log into random game and ruin other people's fun.

Yeah, that just happened to me for the first time today. Playing through The Parish with a friend, another guy dropped, then Rochelle suddenly shot us all up and dropped out after she was incapped. Idiots.

On the plus side, I finally beat the final stage on The Parish. The first try today we ran, and two members of the group would just stop and try to clear all the zombies out before running. The second, third, and fourth tries, my buddy and I agreed we should just run, but we kept getting bogged down when a member of the group would fall or get knocked off the bridge. Finally, the last try, my buddy had to leave so I just ran for it; made it in less than three minutes, even though I was the only survivor.

If I try to rambo through the stage, everyone else dies. Thus I am confined to playing the shepherd. it works, but it's not very fun.
