I don't mind doing point, but I won't leave people behind.Note: Mic helps a lot, I try to listen for certain sounds, but when you are mobbed, I can't tell if someone is smoked, pounced, jockeyed, or charged unless someone tells me or I happen to see it
You were doing fine. And Zyrex, the fourth who joined our team, is one of the guys I normally play with (Toplink who joined your team is another of that group of friends), who is humorously over-critical of anyone played L4D2, was complimenting your accuracy with taking shots at us. I've never heard him compliment a player and I've been playing L4D1 with him since late 2008/early 2009

The guy who replaced you was running waaaay ahead of the group, and then we'd fuck him up enough to stall the others when they finally got to him. Every time I had him as a smoker or hunter, I would say he was getting what he deserved.

Actually that was the guy who joined (something Riddick). Toplink left at the end, I remember.

btw. there is an addon for Left 4 Dead 1 call House Terror. It is a LOT of fun. Very nicely made. I play some last night and it was a blast.

Dead Aboard is another good one. You go through a prison, past some docks, onto a wrecked ship, and up into a lighthouse where you summon your escape.

Played that one through today. Pretty awesome at some points.
I also tried a map called Dead On Time 2, a L4D2 map. It wasn't very good. The level design was mostly bland, hard to navigate, and was so large in some places it made my machine chug. It was kind of funny to see all three of the bots I was playing with get downed by a single tank-punched car, but other than that it was more confusion than enjoyment.
I've played Death Aboard before, and I really liked it. If we have enough people interested in a L4D1 Halforums game I'd love to play that one (does it work on Versus?)

I also play Silent Hill, but that one is bugged on the 5th stage. It is like Silent hill where everything look the same-ish. You need to get "keys" to unlock certain areas which is pretty awesome and got me thinking of my own map. The bug we ran into was "Alternate Hospital" where we got the key but the wall that was suppose to move, it didn't so we couldn't finish the game
bleh, but all the other part was cool.Yeah, it works in Versus. It even mostly works in L4D2, though it has some serious texture problems and in one the stages you have to climb an invisible ladder (because L4D2 doesn't have the textures for it.)

Well, another fun Versus game tonight, but twice a week may be too frequently to get people together. Any thoughts? How can we get Dave into a game? Where is Gusto?
Schedule them if you want, but I just mean they won't necessarily be full. Both times I was on by sheer coincidence. I forgot it was even Monday.

I used to suck at FPS games, and then I realized that a joystick's real purpose in an FPS is to shove up the player's ass, because that's how useful it is. I'll never play another FPS on console. Mouse and keyboard all the way, even with my shitty video card.
BTW The finale last night was bitchin', on both sides. Infected against Fig's side, the four of them having grenade launchers was BS, but it was also a lot of fun, explosions going off all over the place--we were in Dead Carnival, so it was Midnight Riders and all that explosiveness. And then our turn as Survivors was such a mad rush--it amazed me that we were so close to a great finish, but got mowed down by the third tank and all those zombies so only Shawnacy got away. Damn, both sides were a blast for me.

If you were wondering why it took so long for us to hit you, our entire strategy for the finale was "keep them away from the grenade launchers".
You guys did well once you got encamped up at the top of the bleachers. While we never recovered from when you smoked our guy starting the finale.
I was set as tank three times during the campaign as a whole. I've never played tank so much in one match, and I'm so glad I didn't fail every time as bad as my first run of the night.
I'd actually rather do a Gnome Chompski run sometime... but then again, there is nothing stopping us from doing both.
I could say the same about you and the Scavenge achievements. I had all of those within 2 weeks of the game coming out.
Maybe we should just post what achievements everyone still needs to get. Then we can set up a night or a few nights to get the ones everyone still needs. Here are mine:
Level A Charge
Kill a Charger with a melee weapon while they are charging someone.
Heartwarmer
In a Versus match, leave the saferoom to defibrillate a dead teammate.

Survive all campaigns on Expert.

I haven't even played Scavenge, or Survival. I didn't like Survival in L4D1, so I haven't bothered with either in L4D2.
I'd be glad to help you get Guardin' Gnome any time though.
EDIT: It just dawned on me the other day that Mustachio is a Pistachio. For some reason I thought he was an egg before. I wonder if Valve had names for all the different nut characters that appear in the amusement park. I spotted an almond guy, but I'm not sure how many others there are.
Didn't even have the game 2 weeks of it coming out.
And i only started playing Scavenge a week ago.
Except the Gnome i ain't got any of the others either.
Also, the 3 min Bridge one i haven't done yet (the bots are useless, i ended up having to wait for them for a full minute, and i got no good team either, almost did it once, but i died because the tank threw me in the water... )

heh. I haven't gotten all of the achievements either. I just play what is out there
The Bridge over Trebled Water achievement is actually pretty easy. I actually got it the achievement on Advanced and we all survived. You just need to ask us to help you with it one night.
