hello, I need to come up with quiz question for a quiz (duuh)

the concept of the quiz is that there are rounds of 5 questions with a theme per round. The name of the round should be obscure because the teams will be able to pick two rounds for double points and we want to trick them in to picking the wrong round.

But here's the problem I can't think of anything, I mean I have 8 rounds already but I need more.

Can you guys help me? oh and it's for an audience that isn't really geeky so not to geeky please.

Thanks

Can the quiz questions literally be about anything? Or is there some sort of them (ie - entertainment, science, history, etc).

Yes any topic.

I did one round with disney songs, one multiple choice round that had something to do with Frank (just famous people named frank), one round with anagrams about people who died in the last year and one jeopardy round already.

just unknown, I usually make sure that most people can answer 3 or 4 questions per round and one tough one to see who knows most wierd facts

like in the anagram round I put Walter Cronkite in (not difficult for an American I guess but over here it will be a hard one) but the rest was Michael Jackson, Ted Kennedy and Patrick Swazy (which should be know over here)

Gaming in the Olden Days (Theme: Classic video games)
1. This 1990 Sierra game was remade by AGD Interactive in 2008. (Quest for Glory 2)
2. When two games, released in 1992 and 1993 by New World Computing, were installed together on the same PC, they combined to form this game. (Might and Magic: World of Xeen)
3. This 1995 game by Sega introduced their "lock-on technology" system. (Sonic and Knuckles)
4. This 1993 basketball game failed to secure Michael Jordan's name and image rights. (NBA Jam)
5. Mortal Kombat, released in 1992, featured this hidden character. (Reptile)

Are these too geeky? Also, not sure which of these would be considered the tough one.

a bit, it's for 16 to 18 year olds so I don't know if they would know this. but maybe I can work a bit with the theme to find easier ones in that category

I hope that did the trick

16 to 18 year olds, huh? This might be more up their alley then:

Girl Power! (Theme: British Pop)
1. This band, active between 1997 and 2001, were well known for their covers, including Tragedy by the Bee Gees, Better the Devil You Know by Kylie Minogue, and Last Thing on My Mind by Bananarama.
Steps
2. Take That had five members, including Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, and who?
Robbie Williams
3. Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart are members of which band?
Eurythmics
4. Atomic Kitten lost a member, Kerry Katona, in 2001. Why did she leave?
She became pregnant
5. Though she's now better known as an actress, this female artist actually started out as a singer, releasing her first single Because We Want To in 1998.
Billie Piper

I'd guess number 2 would be the toughie, probably before their time.

Good Lord, I must be old - only the Eurythmics question seemed easy to me.

The Disney songs file works fine for me. I can name the first one, no problem. I think I know which movie the second one comes from, but I've never seen it. The third one has me stumped. Fourth one is easy. Fifth one is also easy, I knew it even though I've never seen the movie. (It was in all the trailers)

yeah I'm looking forward to see if somebody will get the third one

1. the hunchback of notre dame 2. Junglebook 3. Robin Hood 4. Pocahontas 5. Tarzan (we don't get that many trailers here on tv, so I hope it's not to easy)

I got this one off facebook so I cant take complete credit.....but it stumped all my people at the job.

A man builds a house with four walls. Each outward wall faces south. A bear comes up to the house. What color is the bear?

White because the house is built on the north pole.

:D

These were so easy for someone who had kids in the 1990's. 5 for 5 I was.

ok, but most of the 16 to 18 years who will join the quiz didn't have kids then :p

I also think they are pretty easy but I'm trying to get in the mindset of kids these days

The first one was an instant get
The second I had to wait for the singing to start but then I got it.
I hadn't heard the third in years but I nostalgia'd so hard the moment it started.
The fourth one is also pretty easy, they show this in spanish classes here.
The voice of the singer in the final one was similar enough to the original that I could figure the movie.
