I finished at Balmorra, and decided to start playing my Inquisitor alt, got to around level 9 or 10 and decided to call it a night.

Who am I kidding, I'll probably go back in a couple hours.

Alright, just got my Bounty hunter caught up to where he was at during Beta (17 and with a ship). Time to bring my Trooper up to speed so I can get started RPing!

IT'S HERE IT'S HERE!

And holy shit, it's huge.

Please excuse the terrible image quality. Too busy basking in awesome to take a good pic.

I'm still waiting to find out if I can actually play this from China. Not being able to play the beta from here still makes me wary.

Snuff and I just ran trough Black Talon together, he on his cool Imperial Operative and me on my Sith Sorcerer alt. Out of 4 bosses, he got the loot from the first, and I got the loot from the next three. :D

It was fun and very lucrative for our guild.

Ok, let's see... when was that last post by me made? 3:30pm?

...

I just played for seven and a half hours straight...

Ok, so... I need a sith character now. And I want him to be on an RP server. Anyone got a guild I can join?

I'm gonna be honest, I'm a little dazed and confused right now...

I thought it was like... 5pm. Not 11.

FUCK I WANNA PLAY AGAIN ALREADY

I know man, I logged off 90 minutes ago and the only reason I haven't gone back in is because I know by the time I get past the server queue it'll be like 12:30am.

What's the big difference between RP servers and the PVE/PVP servers?
People role play as their characters on the RP servers and they are more tightly moderated to enhance this experience. So yes... you may have your character's name reset if it's not sufficiently RP enough.

Eh, I've never in my life played on an RP server that had a large amount of RPers. It might be different for Old Republic since there's a pretty big Galaxies following, but I'm skeptical.

Moon Guard and Kirin Tor servers on wow both had very big RP populations.

Virtue on City of Heroes had a ton of RPers, due to significant Dev interaction. You could literally go to Pocket D at just about any time of the day and you'd see at least three or four groups of people RPing, though it was usually more like a mob of 30-40 people... and that's not even counting the stuff that was going on in the Monkey Bar or in Super Group bases.

The part that I think is funny is that the game isn't even officially out yet.
Agreed. The angst is going to be astronomical. 1000's of people demanding their money back because they have to wait ~20 minutes to play a game! I've seen it several times already. So many people complaining about how they can't get in touch with customer support or they can't even run the game. Maybe you should have checked the system requirements before you bought it!

I have 45+ min queues in primetime (which starts in early afternoon on the weekends), some servers are 2 hours+ so of course people are whining.

The reason I'm posting here at all right now is because my game froze, I had to end the process and reopen it, and now I'll be in queue for an hour or more.

My server finally got a queue lol, anyways I play on Illidan Horde in WoW so its status quo for me, granted I ould rather have queue then ghost town(If I have to choose) luckily for me seems on;y going to be a 15m wait.

Just sat through a 90 min queue.

Honestly, I wouldn't care as much, except that Bioware knew how many pre-orders they had, they had a stress test which had giant queues, you'd think they'd have handled it a little better.

I don't even know why there are queues at this point.

Even better, come up with new servers and direct the new players there.

My thought exactly. If they are this bad with the early on pre-orders (which, lets be honest, if they can do math, there should be no servers more than "heavy or Very Heavy"), what are they going to be like on Tuesday?

Have to see if they will die down after launch, Illidan only gets queues nowawdays on patch or exansion launces. They may go the have serves have que route to prevent ghost towns once the hype dies down, and if it maintains then make more servers, thats my theory at least.

They're planning for the future. They know that a lot of people buying this game aren't going to play past the 30 days, if only because of the subscription fee and the sheer time commitment it takes. To buy tons of servers just to accommodate the people who are going to leave in a month would be foolish.

I'm also curious how many people will be at the "launch" events when most of the fans are already playing (and have been for a week) and how this will make them look (what if you threw a party and no one came).
