Video Game News and Miscellany

It's been like 3 months since the last games, the new ones should be worth...the....wai....t.

I guess the folks that bet that there'd be multiple terrible SNES tennis games available before, I dunno, Donkey Kong Country are rolling in it.

Might not be news, but damn if this isn't teh most awesome review ever:

I hope he got paid a lot for that review, because I have had zero interest in Dragon Quest other than the first one on NES 30+ years ago... and this video got me to put it in my steam wishlist to watch for a sale (I mean, it IS still 60 bucks... NO single player title gets that kinda money out of me anymore).

Divinity Original Sin 3 gameplay reveal... sorry, no... I mean Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay reveal:

I doubt this will hurt the games industry a great deal, honestly. E3 has been slowly losing its impact over the years, especially in this modern age where a trailer is posted minutes after it's shown in a conference. There's almost no need anymore for E3. Nintendo figured that out years ago with Nintendo Direct and we've seen more publishers choose not to attend, even long before Corona was even a thing.

I honestly think E3 was dead before the coronavirus, what with so many presenters and companies pulling out, something was going on behind the scenes. The pandemic is just a convenient reason for them to finally call the whole thing off.

A friend of mine would stop to kick open every barrel in Diablo II, because as he put it, “Barrels are the natural enemy of every adventurer!”
