Former President Trump Thread

The sad thing is that now that his plan failed, if they do create a vaccine it will probably not be approved for sale in the US.

The other vaccine made in the USA will be better and safer and cheaper and made of winning.

Also, now can the antivaxxers please go die in a fire?

Clearly nothing else pressing going on right now.

Incidentally, I actually haven't watched a trump speech or anything for a long time. Until yesterday when I saw his statement (theoretically) regarding the virus. Actually listening to a full one again and it just amazes me that anyone could take him seriously. He is such a bad speaker and clearly has no idea what he's talking about ever. I knew this intelectually, but actually seeing it again...wow.

As expected the corporate rim job given by the malignant masturbatory mishap in the White House did nothing but boost the market for 30 minutes. Interrupter clause already tripped.

The CDC has not updated numbers since Friday morning, using Thursdays numbers, IF they report the weekend totals today, I think the market will be suspended.

No CDC numbers. Down 3000 points.

CNN you are sick, posting a bubble of the Dow dropping like a rock as cheeto mumbles his way through the press update.

This is what your president's leadership looks like when faced with an actual crisis. Over the past three years every major drop has been because of your shit garbler. But up until now the market quickly recovered when they saw he was full of shit. Now, the virus is running the show.

My dad wanted to retire in July when he turned 62. Not happening now. And he works road construction, he really needs to retire. :/

Yeah, this is a bad year to retire.

But look on the bright side, at least this will ensure the next real correction won't be as bad, since the bubble just got cut down to size by an actual crisis.

When I switched jobs, my 401K closed down. I could have elected to hold it in a temporary account until I was eligible for 401K at the new place.

But I've been watching corona for weeks. Since early Feb. Hard to believe that was only 6 weeks ago. In any case, I made the calculated guess that the stock market was gonna be a mess soon, and took the 10% hit to cash out the 401K. Looks like I made the right decision. Even with the hit, I came out better than if I'd left my money in there.

I just cant do it anymore. Even clips are like nails on a chalkboard and make me cringe.
You mean a line like "But we're going to be hopefully, a best case, not a worst case, and that's what we're working for." doesn't inspire confidence?
Sheesh, hard to please.

So Trump & Pence are coming out & saying all the things we should be doing for the pandemic. They are pushing CDC guidelines. No fucking shit, you knobs. What do you think everyone ELSE has been saying for two months while you called it a fucking hoax?

January 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.”

February 2: “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.”

February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”

February 25: “CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus.”

February 25: “I think that's a problem that’s going to go away… They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine.”

February 26: “The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”

February 26: “We're going very substantially down, not up.”

February 27: “One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”

February 28: “We're ordering a lot of supplies. We're ordering a lot of, uh, elements that frankly we wouldn't be ordering unless it was something like this. But we're ordering a lot of different elements of medical.”

March 2: “You take a solid flu vaccine, you don't think that could have an impact, or much of an impact, on corona?”

March 2: “A lot of things are happening, a lot of very exciting things are happening and they’re happening very rapidly.”

March 4: “If we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work — some of them go to work, but they get better.”

March 5: “I NEVER said people that are feeling sick should go to work.”

March 5: “The United States… has, as of now, only 129 cases… and 11 deaths. We are working very hard to keep these numbers as low as possible!”

March 6: “I think we’re doing a really good job in this country at keeping it down… a tremendous job at keeping it down.”

March 6: “Anybody right now, and yesterday, anybody that needs a test gets a test. They’re there. And the tests are beautiful…. the tests are all perfect like the letter was perfect. The transcription was perfect. Right? This was not as perfect as that but pretty good.”

March 6: “I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it… Every one of these doctors said, ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for president.”

March 6: “I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn't our fault.”

March 8: “We have a perfectly coordinated and fine tuned plan at the White House for our attack on CoronaVirus.”

March 9: “This blindsided the world.”

March 13: [Declared state of emergency]

March 17: “This is a pandemic,” Mr. Trump told reporters. “I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.”

March 18: ?????
