[Movies] The Upcoming Movies Trailer Thread

Predicted twist in 3... 2... 1...

Nic Cage's character, who seems way too willing to just kill a guy, is actually a serial killer and this is a monster vs monster flick.

Godzilla vs King Kong

Oh, I am SO fucking in. I wasn't crazy about the 2014 Godzilla, but I really enjoyed the new King Kong, and I dug the HELL out of Godzilla King of the Monsters. And this looks like more of that. So yeah, I'm in.
Yes yes yes. I know the dialogue is going to be trash. I know that the script will have plot holes. I know that it will be ridiculous at times. I don’t care! It looks FUN!

Did Godzilla change sizes? Like, he cuts through a huge boat with his spikes and then he climbs onto a another boat WITH Kong already on it for a fight.

Oh that I can see. I'm just saying that in the previous movies it seemed like Kong would be smaller in comparison.
In “Kong: SI” they talked about how he was young and not fully grown. That was supposed to be in the 1970’s. I also remember an interview where the producer/writer/someone said the idea was that Kong was basically a teenager in the earlier movies, but now he’s fully grown. And now almost as big as Godzilla.

Well, this looks like it might be enjoyable:

Also, an interesting theory i read on reddit:

If you say Cole Young fast a few times, it sounds like the name of a existing MK character.

And it makes sense with the trailer focusing on the original Sub-Zero so much...

At first I was all like, "Cole Young? Why the hell did they have to create an original character for this movie? Mortal Kombat's got tons of characters they can use!" But your Reddit theory makes a lot of sense, and I am mollified.

Anyway, this movie does not look like it'll be a good film, but it still gives me that same sense of giddy excitement as the first Mortal Kombat movie, so I think I'll watch it.
