I just finished all 5 episodes myself.
While I still think anyone could watch this show and enjoy it, I do believe it was made especially for any fans of the original show. Well... , and it's sad that it needs to be mentioned, it was especially made for non-toxic fans of the show. There are some changes made here for the sake of developing the characters well past their two-dimensional 80's series versions. People who couldn't handle Luke Skywalker growing into an old curmudgeon because life and shit happens may not appreciate some of the character choices here. These characters grow with time. Some of them for better, some of them for worse. And surprisingly there is a lot of nice little conversations sprinkled in here about fate and dealing with what you are given. As one character says "No one is born evil".

Well, from what I've heard, Kevin Smith forgot to put He-Man in a show whose promotional material focused almost exclusively on it being a He-Man show, so I'm a little disappointed and will probably skip it.
And before I get lumped in with the toxic fans, imagine if the She-Ra reboot had only had 1 episode of Adora and then it was the Bow And Friends show.

You probably should watch it. To say he "forgot" to put He-Man in the show is being harsh. He-man shows up a lot in the show: be it being directly involved, or through flash-backs, or through other means. The show focuses on Teela as the main character yes, but it's telling a story about what happens when He-Man is not around to just save the day for everyone.

My point is, that is not the show the marketing sold me, and I got interested in watching. Maybe if it'd been honest with me from the start that "hey here's an eternian-universe spinoff that is tangentially related to He-Man" I might feel differently, but this just feels like the most textbook case ever of bait and switch.
Eh, I'll probably still watch it eventually, I guess, but it's fallen several places in priority, and I've got a backlog.
That's the thing, it's not a spin off. It's not different from an episode of the old show where He-man for what ever reason can't save the day until one of his friends help him. It's just a story told over more episodes that is not resolved after 25 minutes.
I'm genuinely curious what your thoughts on the series will be when you watch it. I don't feel that He-Man is improperly used in the series at all. He is a hero and celebrated as one. His actions are not undone or glossed over.
I just watched the most recent trailer (the one without the Bonnie Tyler soundtrack) and it seems perfectly marketed for what we got. Teela is the focus with He-Man having only a few snippets in the trailer.
I think it's a good thing that the series is giving an opportunity for what used to be throw-away characters a chance to shine.

I didn't see that one, but I did see the Bonnie Tyler one, and all the claymation marketing featuring He Man on screen 90% of the time, and if you google image search for He Man Revelation... There is exactly 2 pictures on the first page that doesn't prominently feature or center on He Man/Prince Adam (and one that is the 80s series)

I'll let you all know here, no doubt, when I do end up getting around to it, as I probably will at some point.
He-Man is a prominent character in the overall series. You can't advertise without him, but at the same time I think people just assumed the series was about him only. The show is no longer called "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" and that should have been the first hint. And even if He-Man isn't the main character the first episode heavily features him and he shows up periodically afterwards because a lot of the show is about following in his legacy and finishing what he started. I do not feel, in anyway, that they ever dishonor He-Man in this series. In fact there is an episode that actually puts a lot of heart behind the character that I greatly appreciated.
Prince Adam is found in "heaven" which is a place where only the greatest warriors can go for their justly reward. All who are given this reward may choose their form here. Adam is the only one of Eternia's heroes that has ever chosen his weaker form as his eternal form. While this makes him not a match for the other powerful heroes here when it comes to their competitions he is still highly respected by the others for this choice and for his heroics while alive.
Look, i'l admit they referenced it by having a Fisto cameo, but that just makes it worse, because it means they knew, and chose not to include it further.
Damn. The toxicity in hating this show is appalling. The negative review bombing on Rotten Tomatoes and the numerous videos (many from Clowntv) that focus on "Kevin Smith Lied" or "Kevin Smith Fails" and use cover images of Kevin Smith crying which I believe are from the times he has genuinely gotten openly emotional about something like his heart attack. That's low.

Going to be an interesting season, considering Mallory's actress (Jessica Walter) passed away in May. She fully recorded this season, but we'll see what happens this year.
Fantastic first five eps, Orko as the autistic wizard I've been headcanoning him as for years, Roboto and Teela being brother and sister, and Teela being mentioned as a warrior goddess-A DIRECT-reference to what she was supposed to freaking be in the original comics, good show!
And goes without saying, WAY BETTER than...the Tales of Arcadia finale that's for sure...WHY?! WHY WITH THAT ENDING?! Someone tell me if this is getting a Del Toro cut or something, because that ending was UGH.

The toxies come out whenever they think something is even the slightest bit "woke".
Creator worked on Family Guy, which is about what I expected to find out.
Many folks in the YouTube comments section be straight up calling it the Stewie Griffin show.
The creator has spent a long time shitting on Meghan Markle and Camilla specifically. He seems to not be a big fan of women.

Kid Cosmic (Netflix)
This one is all around charming. The art style is fantastic, the music is great, the humor suited me to a T, the characters are just super loveable. I can't recommend this one highly enough. It's part silver age comics, part retro-futuristic SciFi, with a soundtrack I'd call rockabilly and maybe be wrong about it (I'm bad at identifying music styles, okay?). I took way too long to start watching this, but once I did I blazed through all 10 episodes faster than almost anything else I've watched this year.
If you are a fan of Craig McCracken's other work (Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, The Powerpuff Girls) then you'll probably enjoy this as well.

Hailey and I watched the first episode of Jellystone on HBO. I feel we both had about the same opinion: it's passable. Neither of us were impressed by the humor that much which reminds me of the goofy/dumb humor of Teen Titans Go. I have no issue with the reimagined Hanna Barbara characters and how they are portraying them. A few characters, such as Augie Doggy and Jabberjaw have had gender-swaps which is totally fine with me. Most of these characters were parodies of older actors/characters that kids won't recognize anyway so the updates are welcome ones. I also enjoy the plots so far which, while silly, have fun with the HB characters in unique ways that Harvey Birdman did back in the early Adult Swim days, but kid friendly now. In the episodes we saw Yogi is outfitted with a nuclear powered infinite stomach and Grape Ape destroys the town by going into a food coma which requires a fantastic journey scenario.
Again the humor isn't brilliant here, but I have to say that the best character so far is Huckleberry Hound who is the mayor of the town and keeps his monotone voice regardless of the situation.

or Horse gets isekai'ed into a deviantart account. I watched the first episode and I'm not sure about this one. I wouldn't say it's bad. The animation is top notch through and through, the first four minutes are really good and I wouldn't mind watching a show just in this high fantasy world. When it gets to Centaurworld saying things get weird ist an understatement. I will watch some more and see how long it takes until the characters getting annoying. Or the songs. Or the butts.

So, I watched all of the 1. season of Centaurworld (10 episodes) and it's actually really good. After the shock of the first episode the show got me really hooked. I thought it will be a silly episodic show but it's more like "Over the Garden Wall" and "Infinity Train". A show kids can watch but adults will also enjoy. Oh, and the music ist really really good. All kind of genres in this truly musical journey.
Season 4 of Miraculous is PROBABLY the best one so far in that the story seems to be...ACTUALLY progressing finally, but leave it to the production company to release the episodes out of order driving me insane. Including the sixth episode which they released first in Brazil, that was confusing.
Disney's been doing them in the correct order on their end, at least in the US and on Disney Channel. That's surprising in itself.
Indeed, and DEFINITELY better than how Zagtoons released the specials. "Lets release the one that takes place between season 3 and 4 BEFORE the one that takes place between seasons 2 and 3!"
