[Gaming] Diablo 3 : Ser Farm-A-Lot

Started the new season with, for my very first time ever....a Monk.
And, again, I can only cry about how badly my two main classes - Necro and WD - get treated. Barbarian (which I've only done twice I think? Maybe thrice?) leveling and Journey are a breeze compared to Necro and WD, and Monk is almost as easy if not easier....and this is coming from someone who completely whiffed the early game upgrade/gambling for decent items.
I've played two days, I've nearly finished Champion (silly Master Set Dungeon), and higher up I've finished everything but the conquests and the gems (and the 40 power extractions, which is just grinding to get enough items).
Admittedly, Inna Monk is also one of the strongest builds of the season, but still. I'm plowing through content I wouldn't be doing the first week with a WD. I did my first over-30 GR clear on 63, in 1min38. I mgiht be able to get there with a fully optimized Chicken, but not this easily.

Yeah, yeah, I know, WD and Necro are pet classes and OP pet classes make for boring/lazy gameplay the fanboys don't like....but then explain to me why i'm playing a pet build now, too, which is simply stronger? Pfeh.

I got my WD to 70 in two evenings and I didn’t find it too bad. My DH feels slower, but I think it’s because I have so much less experience playing one.

DH is 70. It took less time as I had a Gem of ease/leorics crown/Custerian wrist guard/a bunch of bounty boxes to open courtesy of my WD.

So an indirect self power level?

Necro and Witchdoctor have both been at the top of the charts for most broken godly class in the past. In fact, looking at the current tiers both still have top builds, it just happens that inna monk is also a top build and happens to be the gift

Both have been great in the past, mostly in group play. Rats Necro groups are still near-META, if not the actual best. WDs can be really good support and trash killers.
I have plenty of hours in both over plenty of years to look back. The last time the WD was "godly" or OP was around the time of the Gargantuan builds - when 5 billion was considered high damage, and Torment 13 was the max. The last time the Necro was really at the top of the game was when it was released.
I only referred to solo leveling (seasonal) play. And for those activities, WD and Necro have consistently both been in the bottom 3 (out of 7) classes for the past 12 seasons. Monk has now overtaken DH as the leading class, Firebirds Wizard was up t here a while too.
And while there are top builds for Necro and WD, they are a) still a good 5-8 GR tiers behind the Inna Monk, and even behind the WW Barbarian....while being much harder to gear for and requiring more assistance.

Anyway, I wasn't saying WD or Necro are underpowered and need some superbuffs, nor that other classes need to be nerfed. I' m not just whining that everything needs to be level. I'm just stating that leveling from 0 is much, much faster and easier on a Monk or Barb than it is on a WD or Necro. My Monk had zero useful legendaries and was level 70 around the 4 hour mark. I can't match that with a WD or Necro, even with good gambles and upgrades it still took me 6+ hours last time.

Wasn't spirit barrage WD the strongest build only like a year ago? *Checks* ok it was either season 23 or season 24 so almost two years ago, but still well after the days of torment 13 being max. It got nerfed the following season for leaving everything else behind in the dust.

Yes. Fair enough, the SB build was pretty strong too, and in the release season, comparatively overpowered.
But it was still slow to get going and took a whole lot more itemization to get good than "lol throw on the most common pair of boots and half a set" Inna monk.

Case in point; I just accidentally got the conquest Speed Demon (TX rift under 2 minutes) on T13 with my regular build. I have literally never done that on any class. Getting Speed Demon solo is a pretty decent accomplishment no matter the build, even with a Chicken WD. Necro it's practically (not literally, I'm sure it's been done) impossible. This conquest is one of the only reasons I've ever willingly gone multiplayer.

I just made an angry chicken and while it’s some fast, sub two minutes may be pushing it. I will try on T10 though. I am using her to farm blood shards for my new DH. The sentry marauder build with all the pets is a lot of fun. When I get the Yang’s recurve and the last set piece I think she will be a beast. Maybe even a bigger beast than my carnevil WD.

I would go multiplayer to search for rainbow goblins. I want pretty wings.

I got my highest greater rift today and was all happy to keep pushing. I think it was a fluke. I got smushed in the next three :(

I double checked I had my weapon equipped.

Funny you should mention that. I got my WD sorted (turns out I accidentally trashed a set piece - I wasn’t doing any damage lol). I struggle and get my highest ever GR last night.

I get my final marauder/correct bow on my DH and do several GR each one progressively higher until I am pretty close to the WD. None of the DH’s stuff is enchanted and one of her gems is level 0. She will be a beast when she’s sorted out.

I'm doing Marauder Sentry this season and it WRECKS everything! Haha! I love it and I hope you keep enjoying the season.

My poor WD has been forgotten lol. Funny thing is that when I checked the leaderboards, I’m ranked higher on her so either it’s harder to get a high solo greater on WD or everyone is playing DH :D

And that's another season done.

I have seen exactly ONE Petrified Scream drop throughout my whole journey - and that's speedrunning GR90s for at least half my hours played. And I see people complain about the drop rate being too high and not knowing what to do with all those gems. Sheesh. Didn't see a single Ramaladni's, either.

Yeah thanks for throwing that kind of money at them, asshole. People like that deserve to lose everything they have in the game and cry.

Season 27. I skipped the WD (I feel kind of bad about that) and made a DH. Leveling a DH is slow, but as soon as I got the set pieces for completing the first four sets of challenge tasks, she’s a beast!

The new season mechanic is awesome!

Haven't started this season yet. Yeah, WD gets a crappy start S27 so if I restart it'll most likely be a Necro. Haven't decided yet, I know the Angelic stuff is neat but on the other hand, I never really play enoguh to get this sort of season thing going. I saw....what, 4 infernal embers last season, or something stupid like that?

Like an idiot, I forgot to grab/save my character’s stuff from last season.
Since I only play seasonal, I guess that’s ok?

I have been playing less than a week and have had 3 Angelic Crucibles, 4 echoing screams and one gift to make a socket.

The drops seem better than last season to me. I would very much like another gift. When I Santa died my weapon, I lost my slot.

I got four more crucibles last evening. They are dropping a lot. I am not sure why as we can only wear one sanctified piece at a time, but who knows.

If you have a spare, you can use it on a puzzle ring and get an ancient vault. Those are awesome.
