In CM #0 they briefly flashback to her origin, and yeah it doesn't mention Mar-Vell at all. Just some kind of cosmic power she's granted.

Yeah, I saw that this was a one-time deal for that artist, but the flashback stuff isn't bad either. It just feels like Captain Marvel's getting pushed to be a flagship character really hard, but she's just not that interesting as it stands right now.

Captain Marvel #0 was okay. Art's pretty decent, but without having the end of CW2 it's hard to judge her as a character.

Yeah, I've read a couple issues of 23verine and it was okay, I guess, but nothing that grabbed me. I hear good things about OML and should really try to catch a couple issues.

I haven't seen it yet. However, I love that Ultros and Gilgamesh just kind of butt into other games now, like they just don't care.

And now that I've finished the second issue of this fucking trainwreck, spoilered commentary. It's bad. The only redeeming bit right now is the Symbiote has its own personality and goals, making it by far the most interesting character in the book.

Holy shit the new Venom comic is dumb as hell. New host is a flat, edgy caricature and the symbiote is losing any decent development as its own entity because of this awful, awful writing. Also, more shitty villain-because-muh-rep Black Cat. Ugh.
