    [Gaming] Board Game Praise

I played old-school L5R (when it was a CCG, not an LCG) from 2003-2008, or thereabouts. I quite liked the game, went to a couple of tourneys and even placed decently high (playing Crab) but our playgroup died to real-life so we retired. Fun times, though.

So it's been a minute, hasn't it? Tested out Bunny Kindom In the Sky, it adds a lot to the base game, suddenly there's a LOT more to keep track of. You're basically playing in two boards. Game's as charming as ever, though. Really fun and friendly-looking. Great Western Trail is a BEAST of a...

When I got Lasiked back in 2006, the most disturbing part was the sensation as my eye was sliced open (the anaesthetic is really good, you feel nothing, like run your finger lightly on your skin, that's it, it was disturbing because I knew what was going on) followed by the flap being pulled...

30th September is officially Truth and Reconciliation Day, which will indeed be a stat holiday for everybody in the Federal Public Service. It should be a stat for everybody, though. Shit's important.

[Rant] Minor Rant III: For a Few Hollers More

Google Translate, while it has gotten better (credit where it's due, but that was a LOW bar to clear), should never be used for anything that: a. Has complete sentences; and b. Will be read by someone else. If it's just so you have an idea what some person wrote you in a language you don't...

We got some new gaaaaames!!! The second expansion for Quacks of Quedlinburg, The Alchemists, is every bit as good as the base game and the first expansion let me hope. That game is awesome. New York Zoo is fantastic as well, an absolute delight of tile-laying with some crunchiness to its...

Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

Well, my grandpa just died. He was 95 and had some heart problems, so it's not like it was unexpected, but it still hurts. In the end, it wasn't even his heart that got him. He slipped in the tub and hit his head. He never felt any pain, and he never lost even a fraction of his mind right up...
