Can't use edit options on mobile Chrome

I've noticed this for awhile and never brought it up, but on my cell phone, in the Chrome browser, the text editing options are all greyed out. Even if I highlight a piece of text, it won't let me, say, bold or italicize it.

It's a minor thing at best, so I never brought it up before. But it's been a niggling little thing that's bugged me.

Wow...I had no idea it was that simple. Thank you.

Done it a few times by accident myself. It's nice the iron to disable all those options is there but it's not always very clear

To clarify for anyone wondering, that "gear" toggles in and out of BBCode visibility mode. IE, it changes the text entry from a WYSIWYG editor to a plain text editor with all the tags revealed.

So, another good clue that you are in BBCode visibility mode is that something like this:

google link

Looks like something like this:

Code:
[URL='http://google.com']google link[/URL]

So if you're seeing all kinds of unobscured BBCode in your messages, check that gear.

There are times I HAVE to click the gear, since for some reason the "strikeout" option is available on desktop browser but not on mobile, and then I just have to manually enter the strikeout tags, like some kind of barbarian.
