My girlfriend and I decided to exchange gifts earlier since we were both going to be really busy around Christmas (and because we were both impatient to see our gifts! :p)

So I got her:

and
.

I received:

and
THIS.

Meet my new baby.

Canon-EOS-Rebel-T3i-600D-Digital-SLR-Camera.jpg

It was our early Christmas present to each other. I have dreamed of owning a Canon EOS Rebel since the late 80's - early 90's. We have a digital point & shoot that takes good pics. However, I recently found my old SLR with 5 rolls of film and it reminded me of how much fun I used to have with the different settings, lenses, and filters.

I finished my shopping ...

... 3 weeks ago.
Yeah, I would have been done quite a while ago too if not for my dad. The man is impossible to shop for! He NEVER gives us any clues to what he wants, and he'll buy himself things that would have been good gifts rather than tell us he wants them. It's freakin' maddening!

I got all my presents shipped and sent two weeks ago--a necessity given my situation. To Jun's credit, she finished shopping for my family before I even started. I already got my gift from the family---money. It's impersonal, but you won't hear me complaining.

Meet my new baby.

I love mine. Got it for my birthday this past year, gave it a real workout at Walt Disney World in September, over 4500 pictures (lots of "duplicate" pictures with different angles for choosing what to have blown up large format) in 7 days.

Okay, some more of my haul this year:
- Guild Wars 2
- 2012 World Series patch to put on my Giants jersey
- Orange Giants W.S. Champions polo shirt
- Nerf Barricade RV-10
- Two 2-Day Park Hopper passes to Disneyland! (YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! :aaah:)

My haul this year:
- Advanced Professional Cooking, by Paul W. Glissen
- 4" Shun Paring Knife
- Instant read, infrared thermometer

And my wife got the brass Turkish Coffee Mill that I got her.

Though it is two sizes too large! I have to figure out how to shrink it. I have no sewing skills, so I don't dare attempt to alter it.

I guess I need to clarify. My wife and I forewent getting presents for each other so we could afford to go to Colorado for Christmas. So even though I didn't get "stuff" I got to visit my in-laws, which is better .

But the ride home was EXCRUCIATING!

-Nice black winter coat (my old one had gotten really ratty).
-2 Buffalo shotglasses
-Camelback water bottle
-Buffalo t-shirt
-fancy t-shirt
-Chipotle gift card
-Gift card to favorite wing place
-Gift card to local mall.
-Stuffed animal skunk

I feel kinda bad, because my mom bought me a very nice looking wallet that I will never use.

Not because of poor quality, no. Like I said, it's very nice. But I've had the same wallet for 13 years, and I'm not going to bench it. It'll probably last another 13.

But I suppose I have a nice backup.

Same, only I upgraded my leather wallet this year for one with more card space.

I found a real nice one that had some anti-RFID tech for 15$[DOUBLEPOST=1356502962][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, what I got :

- Assassin's Creed 3 for the PS3
- New Cologne
- Coffee Presser for Work
- 2 Nice Shirts
- George Foreman Grill
- A Baby in 8 months
