Well, "his heart stopped beating" is a medical issue. "because his brains are plastered over his car steering wheel", "because he took all the drugs at once", ""because there were five bullets lodged in his chest", they're all really just circumstances and comorbidities.
(note that I don't know the guy at all, and don't mean this in a way as to imply he did something wrong or was in any way responsible. I just think it's a stupid way of saying things)
