[Brazelton] Pretty symbolic, the Russian leader who ushered in a new age has left us (Mikhail Gorbachev)

1) I thought he had passed already. TIL

2) Too much 80's pop culture, and possibly propaganda, will always make me think of his unique birthmark first and foremost.

I loved that SNL skit when they showed a succession of photos of him and each time the birthmark took the shape of each of the neighboring countries.

I don't think I really looked into him as a leader, so I don't know if he was a good man or not. But he did try and work with the US to dismantle nuclear warheads between the two countries. And that's a good thing in my book, at least.
