On the video they admit to knowing who she was and she was NOT wearing tactical body armor like the police release said. So they lied. It's almost like the police consistently lie to cover up their fuckups.

Good, they mention starlight tours in the article. One of the most heinous fucking things the RCMP did, encouraged and covered up.

Being a white male won't save you. Questioning police tactics: Diabetic man's arrest at Walmart sparks controversy

A man having a diabetic emergency stopped at a Wal-Mart, and when employees called 911 to report that he was in his car twitching and not responding to people, the police came, pulled him from his car, repeatedly punched him, tased him, and then knelt on his back while he was in handcuffs. Paramedics were never called.

Meanwhile, at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia:

Law enforcement forcibly disbands pro-Palestine encampment at Emory — students, faculty arrested Including the chair of the philosophy department.

"Activists have linked the Cop City issue to the Palestinian cause, because Georgia law enforcement participate in an exchange program with Israeli law enforcement."

And over at Indiana University in Bloomington:

Sniper on the roof aiming at students in Indiana.jpg

There's a sniper on the rooftops.

Over 30 arrested after Gaza protests on IU’s campus

---

It's happening all over: Mass arrests roil college campuses amid pro-Palestinian protests

This article lists arrests made at the University of Southern California, University of Texas at Austin, Emerson College (Boston, MA), Emory (Atlanta, GA), and Princeton (New Jersey).

After allowing nazis and other fun people to brutalize protesters for hours last night at ACLU completely unchecked while they watched, leading to 25 people being hospitalized, the police have now decided that they're going to ignore the staff of ACLU and smash their fucking heads in tonight.

The book on terrorism is a literal textbook made by Oxford press. They also don't have a physical copy to show, it's like they googled book on terrorism and pasted the first result. Nothing shown is illegal or irregular but cops won't stop the lies and gaslighting.

Shoes and bike helmets? Oh my god. Gas masks? Why would protesters expecting violent police reprisal have those? OMIGOD.

Powerful sedatives linked to 15 deaths during police encounters in Texas

"At least 15 people died in Texas over a decade following a physical encounter with police during which medical personnel also injected them with a powerful sedative, an investigation led by The Associated Press has found.

"Several of the fatal incidents occurred in Dallas and its nearby suburbs. Other cases were documented across the state, from Odessa to Austin to Galveston."
....
"It was impossible for the AP to determine the role injections may have played in many of the 94 deaths involving sedation that reporters found nationally during the investigation's 2012-2021 timeframe. Few of those deaths were attributed to the sedation and authorities rarely investigated whether injections were appropriate, focusing more often on the use of force by police and the other drugs in people's systems. Statistics show that police spend very little time on crime control

"Overall, sheriff patrol officers spend significantly more time on officer-initiated stops – 'proactive policing' in law enforcement parlance – than they do responding to community members’ calls for help, according to the report. Research has shown that the practice is a fundamentally ineffective public safety strategy, the report pointed out."

About 80% of the time was spent on traffic stops.

Stopping a crime requires often getting into a semi-dangerous situation, and best case means more responsibility on you, like dealing with the crook in jail, paperwork, warrants, etc.

Traffic stops are easy, and on light cases gets them loads of money in traffic fines and in best cases can mean Civil Forfeiture because the guy had a single blunt on his back seat and now they can fleese the money right out of his wallet and steal the car to sell at auction.

Seems like an easy choice for them, ACAB and all.

Fontana pays nearly $900,000 for ‘psychological torture’ inflicted by police to get false confession

A man's father went out for a walk with their dog, and when the dog returned without the father, the man went to the police for help. The police decided the man killed his father, and proceeded to torture him to try to elicit a false confession. They denied him access to his medications for high blood pressure, asthma, depression, and stress.

"At one point during the interrogation, the investigators even threatened to have his pet Labrador Retriever, Margosha, euthanized as a stray, and brought the dog into the room so he could say goodbye. 'OK? Your dog’s now gone, forget about it,' said an investigator. "

Eventually he broke down and confessed, and when he tried to kill himself because he was so distraught, he was put on a 72-hour hold at a psychiatric facility. Meanwhile the police found his father, very much alive, and they still didn't tell him this.

Even then the ordeal didn't end, because police started searching for an "unknown victim" because they were so sure that he'd done something to someone.

When they finally let him go, he had to track down his dog via the dog's implanted chip, because the police just dumped it at an animal shelter.

"Perez agreed to the settlement rather than take the case to trial out of concern that a jury award could be overturned on appeal on grounds of qualified immunity for police."
