I seriously have no idea why Nickelodeon hates this show so much. It's incredibly popular, critically acclaimed (though not as much as Last Avatar), with great universe to play in. Why do they keep giving this show the shaft? If they hate it so much, why did it make it to a third season?
Nickelodeon has 6 animated shows on it's channel.
- Spongebob (which gets played ALL the time because it makes money)
- Fairly Odd Parents (which gets 1-2 new episodes a season max)
- Sanjey and Craig (which is shit)
- TMNT (which is great but got moved to Sundays. It has ONE showing on Nick, but daily ones on NickToons)
- The stupid duck show
- Korra
It had more shows (Monsters Vs. Aliens, Kung Fu Panda) but those are exclusively on NickToons now. I guess you can also consider Power Rangers too, which gets 22 episodes a year in two 11 episode blocks.
Do you know what their Saturday Morning line-up is? It's like Fairly Odd Parents, followed by 4 hours of Spongebob, with an episode of Sanjey and Craig and the duck show. Sunday gets TMNT, but it's mostly the same. Do you know what they other 90% of their shows are? Stupid, cheap tween shows. They fill the network because they are cheap to make, sort of like how Spongebob s cheap to show. If they could get away with only showing those two kinds of shows (Spongebob and tween hit), they would. This is because hardly anyone watches TV anymore and advertising is kind of paying shit these days. This means you ether need a monster hit (like Adventure Time on CN) to finance the riskier stuff or you just put out shit. Disney is having the same issues right now, but they at least have a media empire backing them.
Damn it. Why couldn't this be on Cartoon Network?
Don't kid yourself. If this was on Cartoon Network, it would have already been cancelled and all we'd get would be Avatar Shorts because the current executives think everything needs to be like Adventure Time or Regular Show now.
