Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

This is one of my biggest fears regarding grad school. Oh you wrote a thesis? How quaint. Now I'll decimate you and your tiny paper. Good day.

Normally I have the opposite problem, but then I've usually been expected to write between 10 and 15 pages.

Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

I just wrote 3 pages of crap about cultural impact on behavior during crisis as it applied to my mother, Aussie, and me during/immediately after the September 11th terror attacks. I still have three more sections (spiritual development, psychosocial stages, and resiliency skills) to go. This is...

[Rant] Minor Rant III: For a Few Hollers More

That really sucks, Frank. Like CG said, maybe things will change down the line once your friend has had some time to let it all digest.

My son had an assignment in class today to create a Thanksgiving menu from grocery store ads. He needed a main dish, two side dishes, a vegetable and dessert. He had turkey as the main dish, then shrimp and pork as the two sides. Carnivore much?

My kids have taken over two of my coloring books. They like the designs more than what's in the coloring books for them. I have one that is mine, all mine! MUAHAHAH! Because I hid it!!

Maybe take it to dinner with you, too. Then when they start arguing about politics take it out and start coloring.

Growing up, we never decorated until about 2 weeks before Christmas. As an adult in my own home, the decorations go up throughout December with the tree being last around the middle of the month.

    (American) Thanksgiving 2015

That sounds amazing. Add some cole slaw to it and it sounds almost like the sandwiches that I used to make when I was younger except it was leftover turkey instead of a turkey burger.

I think part of it is living in Hawaii we have to shop early to get things shipped in time or order early so they make it here in time. The Navy Exchange store has been putting out Christmas things since the end of July this year.

    Statistics Help plz

That is what I'm looking for! I don't need to actually do the analysis or write anything more than we're using a specific statistical analysis to show which services work best. If you still want to chat, great! Otherwise I have all that I need :)

    Statistics Help plz

It's been long enough since I last had to us stats that I've forgotten a lot. I'm doing a project. It's supposed to be a proposal for a program evaluation at a women's shelter. One thing we want to show is which services are helping women the most. That makes my dependent variable successful...

I feel similarly. Stores selling Christmas decorations in August makes me tire of Christmas quickly. I love spending time with friends and family. Watching the looks on my kids' faces on Christmas morning is priceless. It's just overwhelming to get bombarded with Holly Jolly for 1/3 of the year.

    (American) Thanksgiving 2015

My parents used to invite enough people that they'd rent out the hall at the local volunteer fire company or the church I grew up attending. The first Thanksgiving we were married Aussie got to experience this. We had about 25 people including us.

Just found out yesterday that a friend's husband was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Today they got worse news. It's stage 4 which has spread to his bone marrow and possibly his liver. The prognosis does not sound good based on the tentative treatment plan. Fuck you, cancer. Fuck you.

Plumeria are a pretty common site around here. Most are white & yellow or shades of pink. They can be blue (which I've never seen irl), purple, orange, red, and yellow, too. That one is pink, white, and yellow which is supposed to be rare. The scent is almost like a gardenia, but not as sweet...
