Fair enough. I preferred the pacing in 2, as well as the exploration aspects and environmental puzzles. At times it genuinely felt like I was making my way across a chaotic environment, instead of a running a pre-ordained gauntlet. Yeah, it's definitely not meant to have you stuck at a puzzle...
