Thank YOU. I'm tired as hell of blue filters and desaturation. I want night to use blackspace instead of blue gels. That's one thing Raimi got right in his Spidey trilogy. No blue, despite all the night scenes.
You know what era did night well? The 80s. Night on a wet city street with just the right amount of exaggerated contrast between hideous marquees and the sidewalk. Characters in crecent-moon phase. Awesome.
