So, I wrote this about 3 years ago for the fellow. I just found it again. Thought it might be fun to share.

Warning, there are Trigun spoilers in it. :p

For you, my heart's larger
Than anime eyes
I love you way more
Than Weebl loves pies.
You're cuter than the bishonen
At the head of the class
Love might not be logical,
But Spock--kiss my ass.
Aishiteru my hero,
Cuter than Ryo-Ohki!
If anyone hurt you...
Like Sauron, they'd croak-y.
Cuz you're my ring of power,
Except you're not scary
You're strong as a Wookie
Though not quite as hairy...
And I'd travel to Mordor
Or a galaxy far
I'd brave Saroman's army
Or Vader's Death Star
To cuddle up near you
While Trigun is on
And have you console me
When Wolfwood is gone.
Babe, if I am The Pillows
Then you're Fooly Cooly.
We're awesome apart
But together we rule-y.

That is sooooooooo sweet ^_^

You has more, plx?
Well this was the only "silly" love poem I wrote him...the others I cannot share. I've written a lot over the years, but I'm SKEERED to share it! :( I don't think anything I do is that good. But I should summon the courage. I mean... my goal is for people to read my stuff, lol.

I got as far as the first anime reference. I... I just can't bring myself to read it. I'm sorry. :tear:

Too anime.

I'm not here to start up a debate about opinions on merits or flaws concerning anime. I'm just sad that I can't bring myself to read your poem because I really get annoyed when I read about anime stuff most of the time.

OH haha yes. It's anime-heavy. We were really big into it in the beginning of our relationship. Then for about a year we got disillusioned by all the really terrible anime shows out there. Now we're back to enjoying it, but we sift very carefully through it for the good stuff.

That's the problem, I got so damned tired of sifting, and dear god, the people you run into while sifting. You just want to wring their ^_^ little necks!

Die!

*pant pant* Sorry... sorry. I've faith in your poem being lovely. The fault lies with me, not with you.

lol! No problem, I know just what you're talking about. I go to conventions every year. :p It's definitely not for everyone. Maybe I'll post a story up here or something.

Here's a poem I wrote for my mom's birthday. It's being put in a jar full of shells from the gulf. It's cheesy, but she'll like it...

A woman searched both day and night
To find a shell that was just right.
But cracked and worn, chipped and beat
Were all the shells beneath her feet.
Crashing of water onto the shore
Became a song, and even more
"Your heart and sou; are like these gems
that dress my ocean. Just like them
A heart can crack or parts wear away
And mold you to what you are today.
The missing pieces and edges broken
Become for others a brand new token.
The pearly shell you hold so tight
Is in another's hand tonight.
So, though we break and wear and scatter,
These parts don't vanish, so it doesn't matter.
What matters is that every test,
Each weathering wave brings us to our best."
A woman sat on her kitchen chair,
Sipping coffee, breathing fresh morning air,
And smiling at shells piled in a jar
Whose edges proved they had traveled far.
Missing pieces said, "I am strong and bold
With enough love for many more to hold."

She loves the beach, and she's the kind of person who turns every shitty experience into a lesson... so yep. Rough, but good for her. :)
