I managed to get Dreamscenes running on my 64-bit Windows7. Problem is, what I really just want to do is run .gifs as my wallpaper, as is easy to do on XP. Seems impossible on Win7 though. Any advice?

never heard of it,.. got a link for me to test it with? I have win7 64 bit at home, 32bit at work.

Well Dreamscenes isn't as important as simply trying to get an animated gif to run as a wallpaper.

hmm.. someone suggest using 32bit version and link above vs 64 bit version.

Aero is on, the .mov and .mpgs work fine. I just can't get a basic .gif file to be animated wallpaper like XP used to do so easily.

so convert gif to mov or mpg?

Tried that, the .wmv still just sits as a solid picture on the wallpaper.

did you convert it with a program or just change the file extension?

Converted it with a program.... might try a different one instead.

That sounds like it would be novel for a day or two than completely annoying.
