Anyone Read The Silent Hill Comics?

Okay, so I finished Origins the first time and have to get the other endings before moving on, perhaps to Shattered Memories. As expected, I love this. A lot. As such, when I saw there was a comic series, I was tempted. Unfortunately, the only way I'm going to read them is to cough up my hard earned cash for trades.

I figure we have a good combo of game and comic geeks, maybe one of you had read this series. So, anyone? If so, impressions?

I like reading comics in book form. It's just easier.

However, having seen the review, this looks best avoided. Pity.

They are really terrible. I'm not sure where in any of the established Silent Hill backstory the author thought that the town manifested a little girl to taunt people in the absolute lamest XBox Live shit talking manner before having the lamest McFarlane style monsters bite their heads off.

Just really, really terrible.

Christ, that Linkara guy is hard to listen to and after every statement where they show him he does this goofy ass underbite face and looks like fucking Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys.

As someone who's read all of them, here's my picks:

-Silent Hill: Among the Damned (It's in the Silent Hill: Three Bloody Tales trade)
-Silent Hill: Paint It Black (Also in the same trade)
-Silent Hill: The Grinning Man (Ditto)
-Silent Hill: Hunger (Only on the Silent Hill Experience UMD for PSP)
-Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward

None of these have to do with the storyline started in Silent Hill: Dying Inside, so no annoying little girl (or at least as far as I remember.) However, don't expect canon continuity. Enjoy this like you would the Shattered Memories game: As a side story unconnected with the main plot.
