If the world's ending in 2012, maybe God's making his first moves in Arkansas.

Can't say I blame him. *ducks!*

Don't blame the ducks.

100,000 fish... sounds more like overpopulation burning through the oxygen supply.

Wouldn't that have killed other species too, tho?

It's most likely a disease or health problem. All other theories regarding aliens, Mayan prophecies, or shadowy government agents should be ignored.

The birds are already explained. Apparently blackbirds are NOT nocturnal and do not see well at night. This is the time of year they roost together in large numbers. It seems New Year's fireworks in the town caused the birds to attempt to fly to safety. But since they couldn't SEE, they instead rammed into things repeatedly as fast as their little wings could carry them. Each of the birds examined by the State Veterinarian had internal bleeding like they had gone through some form of trauma. Witnesses say that birds were flying everywhere in a panic and smacking into houses, trees, cars...

This sounds like the kind of thing a shadowy government agent would say.
