The challenge is simple:

This thread will be used for discussion and WIPs, and a finished product page will be made eventually.

Although, I'm worried. I was looking at this persons art as I drew me...but...well..I copied their head style a bit to exactly. I'm afraid it looks like a trace and it's making me paranoid.

He said 'style you aren't comfortable with' which for me is Alphonse Mucha. Yes, that's who I meant LittleSin. He's probably one of the most well known art nouveau artists, you should check out his stuff. I find it insanely beautiful. And the details, just...phenomenal.

May I say... that picture is awesome I'm a bit of a Mucha fan, and your piece manages to pull off both the breath-taking beauty and airy lightness that I've seen in a lot of his work.

I'd ask you to do my picture, but "beautiful" and "airy lightness" just don't cut it with me

Well, I won't be at home tomorrow, so I'll be posting mine right now.

I got Allen who is Quiet and after conversations based outside the forums, I decided what I must do. I had to draw Allen as a karate master.

I originally wanted to try it as a Mcfarlane-esque style, but the man is far too talented for my hands.

Instead, I tried to go with an obscure way of shading/coloring/drawing(?) it. I don't know if it's just because I drew it, but it was very very hard to finally say "stop." I always want to change things and keep going, but I wanted to go with a less is more kind of feel for it.

I hope it worked..

Not me. Sorry, but unitl SDCC is over...I'm pretty preoccupied.

I'm just horrible with deadlines..I am so so sorry.

How about a fortnight? One week is far too short to fit in my regular allotment of procrastination.

Too long and people forget about it.

Too quick and a lot of people can't fit it into their schedule so soon.

Forgetting about it seems to be a problem you can fix, whereas it can be difficult to find the time to work it into your schedule on short notice.

If anything, I'm thinking the next contest will have the subtitle: TWO WEEK NOTICE.

It's about finding a happy medium where we can all have a chance to do some work that we can at least be semi-proud to turn in lol

I blame my absence on the fact that this month A) I started having to work Sundays again, and B) I started dating again.

Suddenly all my time was gone and all the days bled together.

Yeah the deadline was waaaaay too long. I said that about the last one, too. I completely forgot about this because it was due about 2000 years into the future.
