Of course, as expected, the studios are screwing us over. The blue ray and DVDs do not have any special features, commentary, etc. _just_ the movie.
However, the descriptive audio is really, really neat. I want to rip it so I can listen while I'm biking - it's actually quite good, like an uber audio book.
Anyway, if you want to special features, you'll have to wait until later this year, and I understand the 3D bluray will be out sometime next year.
But yeah, wow, I forgot just how much fun Avatar is.

Eh, I really enjoyed watching it once, but it's not the type of movie I would like to own. I'm sort of a plot snob when it comes to movies.

The Rifftrax guys did it! Can't wait to watch it again with commentary.

I saw Avatar for the first time this afternoon. I liked it okay! 'Cept for the stuff at the very beginning where I was annoyed with "unobtanium" and Papyrus subtitles.

I really enjoyed it on the big screen... not sure if I will on anything less than IMAX 3D...

I watched it a few days ago on Blu-Ray. It's still a gorgeous, fantastic movie. I've seen it twice in theatres (once in IMAX, once in regular 3-D) and think it's still gorgeous, even without the 3-D.
