Batman Arkham + Live issue (need help)

Ok. I play Fallout 3 collector's edition (all DLC) bought it via DVD and I can connect to Live with no issues

I install Batman via Steam (last week special) and use the same ID. It is "connected" but "offline" which means I can't download the new maps (free DLC) for batman. I am not sure what is going on.

I can log in to Live via the GFWL client software and see everything, but I can't do it via Batman

What am I doing wrong?

I loaded up Batman: Arkham Asylum (which I've had not trouble logging into GFWL from), hit the Home key, and it showed me logged-in as always. When I went to download the map pack (which I didn't know existed until now, it minimized the game and took me to the client software outside the game to do any downloading.

What happens when you hit Home inside of B:AA?

It says offline and network (cannot connect to server) but my GFWL client can log in just fine and running before I log into Batman When I got into Batman AA and hit home, I have option "Connect to live" and it fails

I saw a site that might help (some say it is router issue) http://forums.gamesforwindows.com/t/785.aspx so I'm going to give this a shot when I get home.
