Amy wins. I'm sorry... a techno remix of Tetris' main theme, popping/locking, riverdancing, burlesque, pseudo-orgiastic parties surrounded by beautiful belly-dancing women, and breaking. All without the aid of psychotropic drugs. EPIC!

Dude, I agree it was awesome, but there's no way drugs were not somehow involved in that.

I feel compelled to introduce you people to some real hot-shot Irish music. This guy, Kevin Crawford of Lunasa, is probably the best Irish whistler on the planet.
He's also a pretty awesome flutist.
He's probably the only celebrity in the world I'd really care about meeting.

Incidentally I can think of a couple Paddy Gone Wild songs that are pretty toe-tappin' but don't think they'd be available on YouTubes.
I was actually gonna post some here but OH WELLS

I feel compelled to share something from the WTF files.
This came up randomly while I was listening to dance music on pandora the other day. Interesting use of intelligent algorithms to pick music that I "might like."

I had to forgo the use of the quick reply box because that would have interrupted the awesome Doctor Who remix Amy posted.

Wow... Tin, I think I'm now morally obliged to find myself some Lunasa. That was three flavours of awesome. I must've missed this because I mostly look for songs with lyrics; I can't play an instrument even if my life depended on it, but I've been told I have a passable singing voice at times. So I like to sing and hum songs to myself - or in suitably jovial company. Fields of Athenry has bought me a drink more than once.
That's probably the reason why I like bands that perform Irish 'classics' or otherwise emotionally powerfully songs. I've a soft spot especially for the High Kings.
...admittedly, mostly because their style is quite easy to study. For a non-native speaker their versions are pretty easy to decipher before going into some more proper Irish trad songs. I still have to master the fast tongue-play that's necessary for songs like the Beggarman or Phil the Fluter's Ball.

it's a shame they broke up a few years ago, and I can't find any videos online. I have a Gordian Knot cd you'd love...

I'll have to see if I can't get some through my local music store. They've a pretty good selection of Irish trad...

if not, let me know, and I'll see if I can't get you a sample or something
