and those teeth would crumble and break because of meth use.
Holy shit there were a few great scenes tonight.[/QUOTE]
You know, I actually thought about you, and wondered if you had watched this yet. Last we talked, you still hadn't seen the series.

Oh. I marathoned it real hardcore at some point between then and now. Heisenberg is the funniest thing ever.

I have to necro this thread, because I just watched the latest episode.
HO-LEE FUCK. Best episode of the season. Maybe series!

Hells yes, that was a great episode!
I thought for sure the storyline with the twins hunting down Hank would take the rest of the season - did NOT see that coming!

This season is amazing.

I've heard of this series, but I've never seen it yet. But from what I heard, it sounds like it's a whole lot better than the similarly-themed Weeds (which, honestly, I can't stand).

Breaking Bad is like Weeds the same way that The Sopranos is like Mickey Blue Eyes

Yeah, Breaking Bad is a whole lot darker than Weeds. Weeds was a light and fun show the first season (I thought), but started to just get annoying (I have absolutely no sympathy for the main character) Whereas B.B. the main character is making complex moral decisions, and choices for his life/family. Weeds is a gimick. "Heh heh, a suburban mom dealing weed man! Woah! That's crazy, man!".

I just watched the latest episode and came in to see what people were talking about this week only to find a hilarious analogy. Awesome.

HOLY CRAP!
Just saw the latest episode. Holy shit did the ending blow me away.
I have no idea what this is going to mean for Walt and Jesse now though. I mean, is Gus going to find out that it was Walt and or Jesse that killed his two dealers? This might be a big set up for the next season with Walt and Jesse having to hide or find protection from some NEW gang to fend off Gus and his seemingly endless resources.
I can't wait for the next episode to come out.

This is the best show on Television by far. I cannot wait for the Season Finale.

I'm with chuck. Best show on tv. I want the next episode NOW.

So, no one's going to comment on the season finale? Fine, I'll do it.
HOLY SHIT CLIFFHANGER! That was a great episode! It almost felt like a return to the desperation of season 1. Will Gus realize that Walt is too desperate a man to fuck with? Will Jesse actually murder the most unmurderable person in the entire series? Will the local world market be able to make a profit without Gale shopping there every day?

Man, EVERYONE is talking about this show lately, which is weird because up until yesterday, I never heard anyone but my sister even mention it in passing. Suddenly this morning my roommate and one of the guy's at my co-op are all like "DUDE, have you seen Breaking Bad?!"
I should definitely start watching this show.

It's amazing, that was probably the best season of TV ever.
Also, there is absolutely no ambiguity to the ending
Jesse murdered Gale. Straight up.

Joe Johnson
There's ambiguity in that they didn't show the guy getting shot. However, I'm pretty sure he did it. (not showing it DOES allow the writers an "out" if they want to muck with the story at the beginning of next season).
Anyway, yes, great season, great finale (though I think I liked last week better).
I thought for SURE that
when Walt was being led to his lab, there actually WOULD be a leak, and that this was just a mindfuck for the audience - and character

The showrunner/finale writer/finale director has said in several interviews since the finale that
I wonder if they'll pair it up with Mad Men since that has a July start time, too - that and Breaking Bad are two of my favorite shows on TV, that would be quite a night of TV.

Maybe. It'd be kind of smarter to pair their flagship great shows with a fledgling new show though. Plus, I dunno if I could handle that much awesomeness in one night.

Does AMC do the FX thing? Where they have one major show lead into another. Like how the Shield was played for a few months, season ended, followed by a few months of the Wire, etc. or do they do their shows more along big network style? Season, off season.
