I need to do the Gnomer Quests again. Somewhere Mekatorque hints about the date. Saying that there is 12.7% chance of something big happening.

only 12.7% :)

The patch appears to be done (listed as "Release" version on PTR), but I'm guessing they'll hold off until next week for the Arena season to finish before they reset every class. :p

Plus, the patch itself still has a lot of problems, just from playing on test, and having a hotfix go through that broke my shit in the middle of doing heroics.

That's never ever stopped them from releasing a patch. :p

What did they hotfix? I'm guessing the DK simulacrum exploit.

No, they were hotfixing disc priests and broke Atonement (again). I had to use heal spells to heal it was terrible. I'm sure they broke other shit, that was just the most obvious to me. ;)

I hate extended maintenance when a patch is due any day, because it fills me with false hope. D:

EDIT: Stupid multiple tabs

Well, all the realms are back up, except maybe 2 or 3 of them. Looks like no patch.

I was actually hoping for the patch, but then I saw that the justice conversion for heirlooms are going to be horrible, so I am glad it pushed off another week. I can now run dungeons to finish off a few heirlooms I wanted to get on the Alliance server.

They're changing the heirlooms so they're useful 80-85, right?

Nope, they will remain useful for 1-80 even on new characters, but they will cease to work once you pass 80.

They have two new heirlooms, a cloak and helm, that you can get for 1-85 through the new guild reputation system. You can use all the heirlooms together for a massive experience boost from 1-80 (+45%) and a small boost for 80-85. (+15%).

It's still a pretty good boost and will get you through a lot of the lower levels extremely fast, but they wanted everyone to use more of the new stuff they are itemizing rather then everyone looking the same the minute Cataclysm hits because the bonuses and self-leveling would be too good to ignore.

How much are they going to cost post-Patch in JP? I forgot to check last time I was on the PTR. Champion's Seals cost seems to be the same.

Champion Seals are not changing at all since they are a unique currency. So those prices won't change.

Heirlooms on the PTR..
2175 JP for chests, shoulders, and one handers.
2725 JP for the spell mace and trinkets.
3500 JP for two handers and the bow.

So in other words, shoulders right now cost 40 heroism which equal out to 40 high-end emblems due to the 1:1 down-conversion. 40 emblems once the conversion occurs with be around roughly 460 JP.

So think of it like this... Let's imagine you are using both Triumph and Frost Emblems for the down conversion, and that you will get roughly 5-7 emblems per heroic.

In the existing system, 5-8 heroic runs will get you the shoulders.
After the conversion (1 emblem = 11.5 JP), you would need roughly 190 emblems to get the same item. That's 27-38 heroics or so.
After the conversion is over and we are running the old heroics for JP, it would be around 87-119 per random heroic. That means roughly 20 or so heroics give or take some, I am not really trying for hard math here.

It's much better to get them now rather then wait for the conversion or farm after the patch.

Ouch...

I think I'll stick to Champion's Seals and keep my JP. I won't be leveling any alts until Cata/4.03 and I have two toons who are exalted with all the Tourney rep, so tons of dailies.

Yeah, I don't have all the weapons/trinkets from Heirlooms but I have plate and shoulders/chests, and mail physical shoulder/leather melee chest which is really all I care about anyway. Going to finish my lock since she's in Northrend once 4.0 hits, then wait on the next batch of alts after Cata's dropped and my Hunter is 85.
