No, I could definitely see that happening in America; only in America it would have been a commercial operation and the guy would have had to have signed away all of his rights to compensation in waivers prior to being allowed within 50 yards of said happy fun time ball. There would be a short investigation, most likely finding that the man had lied on the application and waiver forms and that he had a medical issue that caused him to flail at the wrong time and thus change the trajectory of the ball; and then the operator would be able to reopen within a few days.
