Champions Online newbie player question

Hey everyone I recently purchased Champions Online with a gamestop card I had lying about.

I created an account and everything and entered my cd key from the manual.

It says included in the game one month free.

However when I click on the action icon to load the game it does but it doesn't seem to be letting me play the game.

Am I supposed to purchase a time card as well? Its pretty frustrating. Oh well.

you suppose to create an account on the website (I presume you did that) and enter the key right? after that you are require to enter a payment type (either a CC or time card) if you just want to try it out, put a CC it and make sure you DON'T set to renew but you want to ride out your account. (that is what I have to do)

Had to re phrase my question.

I entered my cd in correctly and created my account.

My version came with a 30 day trial with the cd key. If I only play for the 30 days it comes with I won't be charged will I?
If I like the game I will most likely get the time cards.

Add payment plan, (CC) it won't get charged till your free time runs out, so if you simply remove it after using it to activate your account you should be home free.
It's a silly system if you ask me, but it seems to be the standard for most MMO's.

I'm just not used to the mmo aspect of gaming.
