Now this is a real bummer. But I can't really chalk this up to 2017 being a dick. The guy was 90 and that's a ripe old age.

I'll mostly remember him for stealing his sound from Marty McFly.

Saw him live on stage in '92.

He almost cancelled the show because he didn't like the opening act, a local rock pianist who'd support him for the show. The actual Chuck Berry show started after an impromptu break of 45 minutes that said pianist turned into a concert of his own. Berry showed up on stage after the organizer dragged him back from the hotel on contractual obligations.

I love his music, but I can't separate the man from the music. It will always be tainted in my mind.
