A few weeks ago Colbert made fun of Miracle Whip's new advertising strategy with "edgy" ads by parodying it with a similar Mayo ad they did in-show. [STRIKE]I'm sure the clip is easy to find in colbertnation.com, but I'm at a crippled computer at the moment.[/STRIKE] Clip linked in edit.
Well, this letter just popped up on newspapers all over the country, which apparently they sent to Comedy Central too:
Needless to say... I fully expect Colbert to follow their "joke".... THIS. WILL. BE. EPIC.

Oh, spunk they brought. I mean "And you will begin to see the soft, bland white walls of the mayo empire begin to collapse under the weight of its own whipped-egg pretentiousness."?

I hope Colbert had enough warning about this going to happen today so they could have time to put together an appropriate response.

Very nice ending. We're gonna raise "hell, man." Heeheehee.

Edit: Well, he just kinda glossed over it, saying he'll use their money to buy more regular mayo.
Meh.
Edit2: Though the Miracle whip commercial in the first break directly named Stephen and parodied his parody of their stupid commercial.

Yeah, that was sort of a let down... I'm sure that if they'd given him more time he'd spent more of the show fighting back. Hopefully that won't be the last of it.
How awesome was that he shaved Woody Harrelson's head, though? That little "I'm sort of breaking out of character" moment when Colbert asked "are you serious?" was awesome.
