Friend said it best, RIP to the author of many great books I've only read once. When I started working at a bookstore and everyone was going around saying their favorite book at the time and I said The Road, the looks I got like I was going to start looting and maiming them all right there were a bit much.

The Road was quite a book. I kept picturing myself and my son in the story.
I couldn't finish Blood Meridian. I will give it a go in the future. I picked it up after The Road which was a mistake.
