Inspired by Spoony, I thought it would be fun to share some awesome Tabletop RPG stories. I'll start with a tale from Gamma World.
I was playing an Insectoid Duplicator, basically a giant cockroach that could create clones of himself with only 1HP. At the beginning of the encounter, the party drew their Alpha powers, powers each player got for one encounter, for those not familiar with gamma world. One of the party members showed me her Alpha Power, and it was mind swap, A power that swaps 2 creature's minds until the enemy successfully saves. I came up with a brilliant idea to create a clone, have her Mind swap with an enemy turrets AI, and then immediately kill the clone before it got a shot to make a saving throw. Our DM stood there, flabbergasted at the events that were taking place in front of him. In the end, the turret was destroyed, but it was salvaged and now my clone serves as an AI to our party's car.
