Decent, if it didn't negate the super shots by not telling you ship orientation ahead of time it would be great.

Neat, he hit every one of my ships without fail.

Yep do not waste your money on the super cannon ball. It clears an entire row for you up until it his something, but only a single row on the board. So if it has an island on the first square of that row you have wasted your money, it also tells them that you have a ship in that row.

I hate the whole random hit after sinking a ship to develop a chain.

i lost 4 or 5 times in a row until I developed a feel for how the computer player aims its shots.. Now I've just won 4 in a row.
