My wife has gone out of town and left me by myself to batch and after five straight nights of TV I am ready to scream. Can you recommend some activities?
Also are you aware of any non-toxic water-insoluble paints that are available to tattoo fish with, I seem to have neglected to feed her fish and I am in desperate need of a substitute.

Dear Hcglns,
Although i'm not Dave, I recommend you spend a night or two at your local gentleman's club. Don't know where one is? There's an app for that.
Regarding the fish, may I recommend you seriously consider breaking the glass in the tank. Making it look like an accident alleviates the worry your wife will get mad about you killing the fish, and covers up the deed in the first place. Perhaps you were going bowling and accidently turned with ball in hand fast in close proximity to the tank and your ball crashed into the tank. Your problem is solved. But I wouldn't mention the strippers.

Read a book? Play some games? Kill your neighbors?
Now you're just being silly. Reading is something that can be done when the significant other is home.

Dear HCGLNS,
Ah the eternal paradox! We want so much to have time for ourselves and then we don't know what to do with it when we have it. I fell your pain in this one because I have no friends who live close by so I don't know what I'd do, either. I won't suggest playing games online although that is a viable option. If you are not averse, go see a movie - preferably one which you would not be able to see were she with you. No, I'm not talking porn. I'm talking about an action flick or something like that, or something that is to your taste but not to hers.
Go to a bookstore and just browse. Sit in a comfy chair, drink a latte and read.
If you have friends, go see if they want to do something. Go to a bar, see that movie or just hang out & watch sports yelling loudly at the TV.
If you like to paint, paint something. Do that hobby you've been putting off because it takes too much time away from your family.
I do not recommend going to a strip club. I've never been big on them nor have I seen the need, especially alone. That's just creepy.
Call her every night if you can and let her know how lost you are without her. She'll appreciate it when she returns.
Sure. Imagine how creepy it is for the strippers to be in mid swing around the pole, look out into the crowd for viable patrons to sell a dance to and BAM! This mug staring at you!!
