Hell no. I await what must be the inevitable...hip hop hero. Combine the mic (or two), the dj table, and dance dance mat for the hype man on stage into one full game.

In my mind, it is glorious.

I refuse to buy it til I buy a 360.

Also: Until they make a Goth/Industrial/EBM edition.

I've played both GH and RB, and I'd recommend Rock Band 2 out of all the band-type peripheral games. It's by far the best one in both music selection and difficulty curve. Medium feels like medium, easy is easy, etc. GH: World Tour's difficulties are really wonky. Medium on guitar is easy, but medium on drums is really back and forth, etc. Plus RB2's interface is easier to watch for longer.

I've always preferred RB over GH. It always seems like GH doesn't even attempt to make the jewels match up in a meaningful way to the song. They throw in extra strums and jewels just to ramp up the difficulty. RB tries to keep it in line with the music, which being as big on music as I am, makes it a much better experience to me.

I find quite often that it's harder for me to do the medium settings because they have fewer strums and I keep wanting to strum when I would actually be strumming or picking on a real guitar.

Parappa the Rapper 3 Please!

or an Um Jammer Lammy 2.

Seriously music games are on the rise again, How are we not getting sequels to these?

Meh, I'd rather buy 3 or 4 games instead of 1... for the same price.

I'd rather buy your mom for the same price as two hookers![/QUOTE]

Chaz is making a good point here.

Let's say DJ Hero is your mom. And the hookers are the games that are just randomly on the shelf at gamestop.

"Your mom" has some history and backing behind it. Someone obviously cared enough to not only start down the road with your mom, but to see her through several different stages and changes placing your hands in various positions that have all been deemed quite the recreational activity. Most people who have played with the previous versions of "Your mom" that have been publicly available have come back time and time again, each time her new style was released. In fact when your mom first arrived on the scene the critics hailed her as something fresh and invigorating.

Even though, after time, your mom has settled into a repetition of sorts, switching up the positions that you play while basically sticking to the same tricks, she has proven to provide solid play for everyone that tries her.

Now here she is again, out on the town and with a fresh new look and new position for you to fill, even though she's basically supplying the exact same play she always has.

Now let's look at the hookers. Basically you just mentioned 3 or 4 "Hookers" that you'd rather buy than spending the money for your mom. That's no problem, and understandable if you believe quantity over quality. But just saying ANY OLD HOOKERS is wrong. If you had mentioned two quality hookers, and maybe a couple of "Plug and bug outs" I could understand it. But it's really not fair to compare random hookers to someone as time-honored and professional as your mom.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is don't just settle for the hookers based on time and money spent. Yes, your mom may be a bit more expensive... But she has A LOT of history and experience. A lot more than just four random hookers you could pick up off a street corner.

Plus she does that thing with your hands that you love so much.

I played it. It is pretty fun, but can't afford it.
I already bought Dragon Age, Star Trek Blu-Ray, Left 4 Dead 2..... yea no money :(

I only go for the quality hookers that love me long time, but I'll wait till they've matured a bit so they'll be less expensive. But mom's price really won't go down much over time, just like the other moms before her.

In other words: DJ Hero costs 90-100 euros here, while there are plenty of excellent games in the 20-30 euros range. There's nothing wrong with DJ Hero, but for me, it just wouldn't feel right to spend that much money on just one game.
