Jared Leto released a strange picture on Instagram that suggests he is in at least being considered for the role...

He's a great actor. I think he'd do well in the role.

His acting is fine, but I think they can do better casting.

I think he has range enough to pull it off. Kinda like when people thought Ruffalo couldn't play Banner/Hulk.

I kinda picture Dr. Strange as being older. Jared Leto is great, but he's got a bit of a baby face.

I think someone older-looking would be better, like Jon Hamm

I'm sure Leto would do a good job if cast, he just doesn't seem like quite the right fit for the role to me.

(comically, I just looked up both actor's ages and both were born in 1971)

Hamm was the first I remember hearing as the rumored cast for Strange, but I think it was shot down pretty quick.

Edgar Ramirez has confirmed he's in talks with a role in Dr. Strange. I don't know if he'll be Dr. Strange (they'd probably want to go with a bigger name) or as some have speculated, Baron Mordo, but he has worked with the director before. I'd be happy with either.
