I have a user with 2 pcs. One is Vista64 the other XP. They have the same domain home folder. He saves a file to his U: Drive (home folder.) But it does not appear in either his old XP workstation, or on my Win7 workstation.
But when he logs back in to his Vista machine the file is still there.
Has anyone run across anything like this?

Are you running an active directory or windows server on that network? It's been a long time since I've done windows network administration, but I didn't think you could share a home directory on a network without a server.
You can share directories and files across the network, and map drives to shared folders, but sharing the home directory is tricky, at best, without a central server to moderate things. For instance, if you edit something on one PC with the other one off, then turn it off and turn the other one on, without a central server the file changes you made on the first would never make it to the second.
