Double-clicking a thread icon to mark it "read" marked it "closed" instead

I double-clicked the icon for the Star Wars MMO thread in Games because it didn't seem to know that I had read all the posts, and instead of marking it "read" it marked it "closed". I tried it with a different thread (the OOTS thread in Media Madness), and the same thing happened.

I'm assuming I didn't actually close it, but I'm guessing that my browser is calling the wrong image. This was definitely not happening 30 minutes ago.

EDIT: Latest public release of Chrome, WinXP, if that matters.

It happens to me from time to time, but no, you are not closing them. Eventually it fixes itself, or it dosen't. You get used to it after a while.

This happens to me every so often too. I dismissed it as the board getting confused by my mod powers in the HAL Industries sub board.

Yup, pretty much this. The only board I can actually close anything by double clicking is the Ask Dave board. Everything else puts up the false closed sign.

Mine is pretty consistent- same forums, all the time. I figured it was due to FF screwing up. Good to know it isn't just me.

Not on purpose; some of these are only a couple pages long, and it's not like there was any fighting going on.

Shit, the Games on Sale thread has fallen victim. That SUCKS.

I've unlocked all the improperly locked threads, but Ame will have to look into a more permanent solution when she has the time.

That addon has been disabled until further notice. I know it's a pain it the ass, but it's better than having half the board closed for posting. When we get it fixed we'll put it back up.

First the camera lens goes, then the random airlock ejection of threads, what's next? banning of people singing about Daisy?
