I'm a little late to play this game, but after quitting WoW, and EVE (sorry Halcorp) I decided I'd give it a try. After all, it's free, right?


So far I'm level 2. I'm a 1 bard/1 barbarian, and am enjoying the game. WoW has a much better presentation, but I'm really enjoying the dungeon design in DDO. The only complaint I have so far are the microtransactions.

I'm not against the idea. In fact, I want to buy some DDO points. I've spent the past day actively trying to give them $20 so that I could use those points to unlock the warforged race and monk class. But for some reason their system doesn't recognize my credit card. The bank ensures me everything is fine on their end, so I'm waiting the 2-3 days for Turbine to get back to me and see if they can fix the problem.

Other than that, it's surprisingly fun for a free MMO so far. Does anyone else play? I'm on the Kyber server, named Illinon Gallen.

Halforums try to form a group. I use to play with my friends (he still plays) but I have lost interest in them since at higher level it is hard to level (but that change recently and I haven't gone back to check the new soloable quests)

It is not bad :) pretty fun I just don't have much time lately to play :(

I played this for like 2 days. I found it to be INCREDIBLY boring. However, I fully recognize and admit freely, that it would probably be fun if I had played it WITH people instead of just going solo.

No, it's still pretty boring. You don't have the variety of content that other MMOs have.

I tried it, but It's just not my sort of game. I think the biggest factor that turned me off was simply the lack of a big open world to explore. Now I know that simply just not the point of the game, so I won't say it's a bad game, just not for me.
