I have no idea what to expect besides the stuff that usually gets delayed finally getting released. Supposedly Bethesda has something big planned that is not Fallout 4 DLC. I'm not going to get my hopes up for another Elder Scrolls game ... (but that'd be really cool of them).
Looking forward to seeing what new thing From Software is cooking up.
And then I'm sure we'll see near-ready versions of No Man's Sky, Persona 5, Zelda: Legend of Double Release, etc.

I hope to see more out-of-the-box ideas, like Cuphead from last year's E3:
I don't think anyone will have to worry about that.

On a more serious note, I would certainly welcome more info on No Man's Sky, Dishonored 2, and whatever Bethesda's planning. I also wonder if there will be more details on Pokemon Sun/Moon and DX: Mankind Divided.
DC guy #1: Alright, we've been copying Marvel every chance we get, we need to keep doing this so we can be Avengers level popular.

Do they even NEED Power Armor, what with the Kryptonian nano-tech that made them all equal in terms of strength? KLEH-probably for toys or something, whatevs.
ESO actually got just Dark Brotherhood on the 1st of June. They seem to be doing well enough with B2P to justify cranking out new mini expansions every 2-3 months... next three should be Murkmire, Mephala's Web, and Clockwork City.
As for what is coming from Bethesda otherwise... I suspect we'll get a trailer for the next Fallout 4 DLC and maybe an announcement for Doom DLC. Next big Elder Scrolls game is going to be a few years off... wouldn't expect to see anything until late 2017-2018.

They said their big announcement was not Fallout 4 DLC. That doesn't rule out Doom DLC, but I'm thinking they mean a new game. You're right that it won't be Elder Scrolls, but I really wish it was.

Do we NEED an explanation at all? It's a fighting game. It doesn't have to make sense. If Krillin is viable in a DBZ game, or anyone can really fight the Hulk in a Marvel/Capcom fighting game, it shouldn't matter if everyone can fight Superman.

Just saying, they had an explanation in the last game for story mode.

IJ2 gameplay, more characters shown. Atrocitus, Grodd, Black Manta, and then some more armor designs.
I have this strange feeling that this game will underperform, which will lead to Bioware shoehorning Shepard back into the next game in order to drum up interest.

Created a game "that you can lose yourself in." Why do I get the feeling this will be the endless busywork like Dragon Age 3?
I'm not getting it, but wife might still get suckered in.

Oh good, surely this will not bring out anyone's inner overlord.
Regarding the Skyrim special edition, normally I would be miffed about something like this being a console exclusive and not coming to PC, but... well...

It's already got the PC community in a tizzy... basically because of what happened with FO4 regarding mods (i.e. people who didn't own mods putting them up and stealing credit). Some mod makers have decided to just take their projects down in preparation of it, because it's better than letting someone else get the credit for their work.
Basically, until Bethesda can keep the thieves out of the mod scene on console, a lot of mod makers just don't want to deal with the console side of things.

Oh wait, the special edition is coming to PC. Never mind, ignore me.
Skyrim ... I did not think it could look more gorgeous and I was so very wrong.
I haven't double-dipped with all these upper console re-releases, but I must with this. I will get it right when it comes out. I cannot fucking wait. I will put myself on forcible no-Skyrim for the next few months just to make it all the more special.
Is that it? I know today was Microsoft's day, so I was kind of a skip day anyway.
They apparently have there own .5 system planned, and have already announced their next console.

New, untitled Spider-Man game by Insomniac Games!
So yeah, holy shit. Between this and Horizon, I may have to break down and get a PS4. Might wait until they release a Slim version, though. Surely that's coming at some point.

Yeah, the more I see for PS4 the more I think I'll have to bite the bullet. Plus I know there's a couple shooters my dad would love to play that aren't coming out on PS3.

That's something I'm curious about. Is this new God of War tied at all with the original series? The main character looks like Kratos, but the setting looks more Scandanavian than Greek.

I like PS4 exclusives. It gives the devs the chance to play to the console's strength. I enjoy PC gaming, but I have also always liked my PlayStations. If this convinces any of you to give it a whirl, I highly recommend anything by Naughty Dog that they published exclusively for PlayStation. Great story games with fun gameplay and interesting puzzles.[DOUBLEPOST=1465910502,1465910263][/DOUBLEPOST]That Spider-Man game really showcases his agility, which was always his coolest superpower in my opinion.

Laughing at Twitch chat freaking out when they find out Link can jump.
So far the graphics seem to be Windwaker-ish. At the very least they are cel shaded.

I'm guessing that since there are no more Greek gods, they decided for him to take out the Norse ones now.

I wan tot be excited about Zelda... I really do. But all the crappy decisions in Skyward Sword that made it a pain in the ass to play, at points, make me very wary of how an open-world Zelda is going to pan out. I'm getting a little sick of Nintendo not learning from other game companies experience in making games.

To be fair, Nintendo doesn't learn from their own mistakes, either.

I noticed that he had the Omega symbol as a buckle on his clothes, which makes me believe it is Kratos, just several years after he's killed the Greek gods.

Yeah, I'm assuming he might be nigh-immortal thanks to the whole War God temp job thing, so it could be decades or more after the events of the last GoW.

Still bummed that Nintendo's reaction to doing a female main character essentially boiled down to...
- "We don't want a male Zelda." She doesn't have to be male, you nimrods. Zelda and Link don't always hook up in the end... they were brother and sister in Zelda 3!
- "If Zelda is the main character, what are we going to do with Link?"
Gee... I don't know... how about having Link rule the kingdom instead and he's being held hostage by Gannondorf? Or hey, let's switch things up even more: maybe Link is the villain. Link's Courage could have been corrupted into recklessness and now he's unleashed some ancient evil while seeking a new challenge, so now it's up to Zelda to use her magic to try and save the day while Gannondorf (who is using his Power justly for once) and his army of Garudo warriors to hold the line until she can defeat the evil. It literally took me 5 minutes to think of that and I STILL think I put more effort into it than Nintendo did.
It's alright to follow an iconic formula, Nintendo, but don't treat us like idiots. Just say "that's not the story we want to tell", not "there is no way to tell that story".

This is where I'm at. Between the new jumping, gathering, hunting, weather stuff, open world ... it's like The Legend of Zelda: Fallout New Vegas Survival Mode. Which would be fine, except a ton of these things are new concepts for Nintendo and I feel like they've bitten off more than they can chew.

Yesssssssss, give it to me now. Finally not going to be tied down by previous-gen consoles:
Daaaaaaaaang, WayForward looks to be delivering hard on their KickStarter for this.
Is it just me or does this definitely have a "Failed Hero" timeline feel? The lonely vibe and free overworld seems like the direct sequel to the original NES Zelda and Adventure of Link.

I think you're right, especially with the premise that this time Link is piecing together what terrible thing happened to Hyrule, exploring the aftermath and ruins.
I will probably buy this for Wii U because at this point I can't see myself buying the next Nintendo home console and maintaining self-respect. My wife and I bought the Wii U, now and then play a Nintendo game we wanted to play, and then the Wii U goes months collecting dust until the next Wii U game we want to play comes out. Compare this to the 3DS, PS4, or even the friggin PS3, each getting year-round use because they have games we keep going back to, or new games we want to play coming out regularly. Unless the NX is a hybrid console/handheld as has been rumored, I'm not sure I'd be buying it.
It is very DDR/Beat Agent in character.
I'm sure that's by design.

Haven't seen this posted:
They gave Hideo Kojima a star intro at E3. It was pretty much Sony going "look who we got in our corner; fucking eat it Microsoft and Konami," but good for them. They certainly earned gamers' goodwill by putting in on the project. I don't know what kind of game this is going to be, but the teaser's certainly arresting, even if it's just cutscene.

Maybe Nintendo knew I was badmouthing them and wanted to make me feel bad, because I just got two early access demo codes for Monster Hunter Generations for me and my wife .

If this game can deliver, it could be a pretty awesome experience.
Been following this reality whenever I can ever since they started building it.
It could be a game, a major motion picture, a TV series...there is so much untapped potential to be more than a mere Robocop or L. A. Noire derivative.

They actually didn't start development on DETROIT until long after KARA become a wide success... they were still working on Beyond: Two Souls at the time, as well as doing support for Heavy Rain.
I like David Cage games, but Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy are still his best works by far.

I will admit that I'm put off a bit by the fact that the geography doesn't match reality. Best I can tell, the rooftop scene takes place somewhere between Campus Martius Park and Grand Circus Park, but the buildings there don't quite match up as depicted. I guess there must have been a lot of renewed construction between now and when the action takes place.

Oh, and the Renaissance Center is 73 floors tall at its summit, so if he's getting off the elevator on the 70th floor, he should be right about even with its top in the distance, not merely halfway up.

Been watching this game since the KS a few years back. It's weaponized hipsterness, but I still find it utterly charming. It knows what kind of story it wants to tell and it does it well.
They have, at least, released Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit HD on PC. But yes, because Sony Consoles are usually the most powerful these days, Quantic is basically Sony second party.
