And thus one of the gaming world's most drawn out publicity stunts comes to an end. Really, there was no reason why this wouldn't happen eventually. Everyone worried about being "shafted" by getting the PS3 or PC can now sigh in relief.

Exclusive DLC is probably too easy to make compatible with the other versions for them not to port it even for only a few extra sales... yay money.

There is no such thing as an "exclusive" anymore. Contracts only define how long something must remain solely on a certain platform, and once the time has run out, the devs decide if the game still has enough popularity to make it worth porting. If it does, you see this.

YES.

I am excited for this news. I've heard excellent things about both Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, and I JUST beat GTA4 proper.

Hell yes.

Excellent, I can finally get the DLC! I knew it was only a matter of time. Rockstar just had to wait for their exclusivity contract with Microsoft to expire.

And in the case of DLC porting it is probably very easy...

The long and the short of it with this DLC is that Microsoft payed for it's development. As a condition of them paying for the development was that EA and Rockstar had to keep it exclusive to the Xbox 360 for a set period of time. Apparently that time has expired, much to my delight. They've probably had the ports ready to flip the switch the day the contract ended.
