You may have seen my february doodles in my doodle thread.

Awful.

So I decided to do this right, buy a notebook and do some doodling every day to try and draw better, not just to doodle while I'm doing boring stuff.

I still have no scanner though.

TODAY'S ENTRY:

Can you tell wich style I was trying to figure out? Why is that a question, of course you can...

I lated did this and explained on facebook that I usally learn how to draw by copying different artstyles and learning something from them. I said "an hour later, without any reference, I did this thta mixes my style with this new style. That's how I learn to draw.

An illustrator friend of mine commented:

Curious: Is that drawing pad strictly for Feb. drawings? Looks like a day-by-day thing.

Also, we should have an art baby.

It is! it even has a little note on the cover with "dibuixos febrer 2012" written on it!

Also, you know I'm always up to having babies with you, artistic or of any kind.

Trying to figure out how Mignola shadows work. Copying them was easy, and I get it's a mix of light and color contrast (the kind that is used in spriting, for example) but... I couldn't do it myself.

Mignolias shadows cannot be duplicated.He sacrifices a mouse to an Old Oneevey time he needs just one panel created.

You don't want to go down that road.
